Lois was booked to do the Grand Adventures in cooking today at the GF. We arrived around a half hour early so we strolled round the GF. GAIC is held in the Mouseketeer Club. Parents are given a pager just in case the kids won't settle or decide to trash the place They decorate their aprons and chefs hats and make a 'delicacy' with the chefs. Lois' group made 'worms in mud' (chocolate mousse with gummi worms!). When they're done, they parade round the lobby with a trolley, sharing their culinary delights......parents are forced to sample there and then She had a fantastic time. She has taken photos, but who knows how they'll turn out?! She gave it 10/10 and wants to go again next year, so she must have had fun!
We headed for the Florida Mall, ate at the food court and hit the shops! I had to get the girls their Cinderella outfits I promised them to wear to the 1900 PF dinner with Cinderella (girls ~ honestly ~ who'd have 'em?!) In the parks, princess outfits are $55. In the mall, they were $34.50 a big difference when you're buying 2! I gave my DC card for discount and the CM hit the wrong discount code. I got a CM 20% discount by mistake, so I was happy
We had a PS at Le Cellier. We took the boat from The Swan, but it takes much longer than walking, we just made our PS. A lovely lady on our boat was worried we wouldn't make our PS, they had one later than us. She made a point of coming to find us outside and offered us her table if we had lost ours.....such a lovely gesture as it was fully booked, especially as she said she had been before and knew how good the food was. All I can say is WOW!! A filet mignon TDF with and cheese mash with a side of bernaise sauce OMG..... we are definately coming back here before we go home. Full marks all round for cleanliness, friendliness and yumminess! Stroll back home through the IG (after having consumed a bottle of wine) Great thing about staying on the Boardwalk, we have so many restaurants we can walk to. I enjoy a glass of Zinfandel.....or two
