Day Rooms at Atlantis??

a question...

If I book ahead of time, instead of booking a day room, I'm assuming we won't be able to get into our room until check in time, which I would think would be around 4:00.

Is that correct?
If so, can we still use the facilities before checking in??

Thanks!

If your room is ready when you get there, which doesn't seem to happen often at The Atlantis, they will give you access prior to 4:00 pm. However, you will be allowed to use all the facilities once you check in.

For what it's worth ...

I'm posting this before I actually double check but I think it maybe important to some folks who may be in the planning stages ...

I have more than one member of my family working at Atlantis and I've always been told that they didn't do day rooms. There may be a new policy or they may be doing something special for "walk ups" on slow days - of which there are very few at Atlantis.

But as year round Nassau residents, even though we have tried repeatedly, we have never been able to get a "day room" rate that was lower than the best available overnight rate.

In other words I wouldn't want folks to assume they can arrive in Nassau and that Atlantis has a block of rooms set aside for day guests at special prices. Though you may not be paying the full "rack rates" for the room, many overnight guests, even at the Royal Towers are not paying them either.

I have had houseguests and other visitors here in Nassau who have tried for a "day room" unsuccessfully as well, so I always suggest they book something as early as possible if Atlantis is a "must do".

I will check if policies have changed and then see if I can post some sort of an understandable clarification.

What the Atlantis told me was that day rooms are only available when there are rooms left and they want to use them and they only use the coral tower and the royal towers, they will not use the beach tower for the use of day rooms. I called the Atlantis twice and was told the same thing prior to going. I was told it was a chance that I could take and that it was a first come, first serve basis. That is why I called from the ship. I have it in writing right on my bill, the terms, etc. When I called that morning and asked if any day rooms were available, I was told yes and then given the rates and asked which one of the 2 towers that I wanted. All of the rules were explained to me and I had to give them a credit card to hold the room until I arrived at The Atlantis.
I also checked on every available web site, for rooms at the Atlantis. For January 6th, there wasn't a rate under $200 for any of the rooms. However, those were the rates offered that day. If I had a scanner, I would be happy to scan my bill along with the page that I signed when I checked in, but I unfortunately don't.
