I was just wondering...if anyone has done a day rate at the Radisson. According to what I have read here with early seating we will be booted off the ship by 9:00am the latest, our flight does not leave till 4:30pm (Delta). I know people have mentioned getting a day rate at the Hyatt near the airport for late flights, but I'm hoping I will still be able to check my luggage with Delta at the port and if we just feel like hanging out for a few hours maybe we could just do it at the Radisson and have the limo (booked our own transporation) pick us up there at around 1:30. Let the kids get in a swim, have lunch etc. I know my husband is not at all interested in renting a car, and since he is letting me plan most everything else I have to agree. I just don't want to be hanging around the airport for hours and think we will be pretty burnt out from our exciting week.

Any thoughts?

I think that might be a very good idea!!! The Radisson is a great hotel with a great tropical pool area!!!

Let us know how you make out and what kind of rate do they charge for day rates as opposed to a regular rate.

I haven't heard of anyone getting a day room at the Radisson, but some folks have mentioned enjoying a day room at the Hyatt at the airport.

My sister-in-law was able to get a day room at the Radisson last July. Our family was heading over to Disney for a few days following the cruise, but her family was flying home but didn't have a flight until 5:00 p.m. She had a car reserved from Avis to get them to the airport, so when she took the shuttle back to the Radisson she
inquired at the front desk. I think they charged her $65.00 and she did have the use of a room to store luggage, take showers, etc.

We got a day room at the MCO Hyatt last September for $60 plus tax (about $65 total). The pool area was very nice, pool was nice and warm and uncrowded. We went to the airport food court, got lunch and took it back to the room. It was very convenient when it was time to go to the flight. Take the elevator down to the airport level, go through security and go to the gate. All in all, a very relaxing way to end our trip. We would definitely do it again.

Staying at the Radisson would probably be about the same, except you would have to leave there a little earlier to go back to the airport.

I have inquired about day rates with some of the hotels in Cocoa Beach. Most of them could not gaurantee a reservation unless I paid a discounted rate which was basically full price minus $10.00. I did not check the Radisson. Please let me know what you find out.
