Day planning/ help!!!

Taking my kids 18,19+22 on a trip, 5 park days. Arrive 1/20, depart 1/24. Staying onsite at BWI. I am usually rope dropper/ but with kids who may want to be out later and sleep in a bit how should I plan this. Woth Epcot open at 11, is there even a point to reserving it for the day? Does everyone just hop in the afternoon? Nothing is a must do except maybe Pandora.
Now I gave Epcot, MK, HS, AK, Epcot
Maybe I should switch out last day to AK or HS? Or make Epcot only gir evening abs do AK and MK x 2?

With your location you could be up and at Ep or HS before your kids wake up. They could always meet you are a location for lunch and then start your adventure together. Unless you get a commitment from them to get up early, I'd only plan the afternoon with them. Do you plan of doing Genie+ and/or Lightning Lane? Are the big SW fans?

I did consider heading out on my own. without fast passes, it seems like I don't have much to hang my plan on! LOL. My kids are not big star wars fans.
I have so far planned HS for arrival day, EP, AK, MK and HS for departure day. Hoping that crowds are not too bad if I wanted to switch last minute and I have concern that MK will not thrill them as they have spent 4 years going to universal for thrill rides. Probably will end up heading out to RD myself and meeting up. I will have to decide on Genie+ when more info is released.

Depending on what time you are arriving, you might want to make Epcot your arrival day. That is what we do, we get there between 2 and 3. That was the only reservation I made for Epcot, we went every day but hopped over. When we went there was still the virtual que for Rise so I booked 2 days at HS, we got on it the first day but we had a baby with us and only spent mornings from about 10 to 1 at the park so 2 days worked for us. Have your kids been to all the parks before? MK has always been my son's least favorite park, even when he was little, but especially as he got to be a teenager/adult. Being at BW gives you great opportunity to spend as much time as you want at both HS and Epcot, hopping is your friend.

my kids haven't been since they were 3,4 and 7. they have loved thrill rides at universal for a good many years. they are excited but I'm worried they will miss the big coasters. did you feel you had a good chance of getting on soarin and test track not starting at opening?

I didn't do Soarin (I babysat my grandbaby) but my son and his SO did and it was basically a walk on around 5 in the afternoon. We didn't get to test track. We rode everything else at Epcot with pretty much walk ons in the afternoons early evenings. There really aren't that many thrill rides at Disney. Rockin Roller Coaster at HS is decent, I love Tower of Terror but it's not a coaster, it's a drop. Disney really isn't for thrill rides. There are a number of cool rides and one or two coasters that are decent. I would think that time of year it wouldn't be too bad crowded. I never do rope drop, but we go often so we know if we miss a ride it's no big deal.

We have talked at length about the difference between Disney and Universal and they are excited because they haven’t been in so long so I’m just hoping they appreciate the theming
