On our down day last trip with bikes, we rode all over the park on our bikes exploring. We ended up at the petting zoo and my son enjoyed that. We also went into the barns to check out the horses. Then, we rented a couple of the little boats and buzzed around the lake for a little while. When we got back we decided to ride our bikes down to the Wilderness Lodge. There's a trail right close to the petting zoo that goes over to WL. When we got inside, we found a nice lady who worked there, and we asked her if there were any hidden Mickey's she could show us. She ended up spending 30 minutes with us and showed us all over the lodge, showing us several hidden Mickeys, some that we probably would have found and some that we definitely would not have found. On the way back, we were trying to see who could spot the most different wildlife. Once we'd found something, you had to try to find something new. It was cool, and it was amazing how many different animals (including reptiles) we found. We came back to the cabin and ate. After that, we went swimming in the pool for a few minutes, and then we decided to go fishing. We went fishing in a couple of different spots, but actually had the best luck down a little trail on the 300 loop. I guess it's OK to fish there. Then, we took the boat over to MK. We sat in the front and took some pictures along the way. This may seem stupid, but we got off and rode the monorail over to the Contenporary. My kids like to sit in the front. Then, we took one of the little boats. We came back and cooked out and then went to the sing along and roasted some marshmellows. We watched the movie, and then cruised around the park on our golf cart. We cruised down to the waterfront for the light show and then it was back to the cabin for some down time.
I like to go in December and check out everyone's Christmas decorations too. You can even hop around to the various resorts. They're all decorated differently.
