Well here we sit on our flight home… It is day 9 of our trip and we have had a great time so far… Now we just need to have my wife survive the flight home… We started our day by packing up our pins. That took a good portion of the morning. We then decided to finish our trip were we started it. EPCOT!!! We got lucky and some of the event pins were still there. They were out of the Tinker bell pin and the PTP Slider… They did have a few framed sets left but those were gone by the time we got there. We got to see a few more of our fellow DISers before we left. We got to meet Scoop again as he was at the park doing a little trading on his own today. He is a great guy and a blast to trade with. While at Epcot today we were able to get a few great pins. I traded for the WDW CM Ticket Book and the 100 years of magic pin (the little one) as well as one of the 30th anniversary pins that was pulled because of the enamel problem… Looks like a Darth Mickey pin with a Blue Castle and a Steel gray back round. Finished of a great trip with lunch at The Land.

We got to go to Canada 3 times for 4 bowls of Cheese Soup… The first time we met Larry for lunch and had a great time talking about the event and what to expect. The second was with a group of friends… Vince and Suzi (Parkhopper) and Chris, along with Scott (ScottakaMickey) and his DW Suzanne and Susan (Tennis Nut) and her DS Nicholas and Lisa (TiggersMom). The third and final trip was with the same group except T-nut and her son… and a few others joined us… Brian, Larry (again), Mary, Judy, and Linda. This being our last trip for this time down I had to have 2 bowls… Well the first was only half a bowl so they gave me another one to make up for it.

I have had one of my best trips ever down here and meeting all of you and having the chance to trade with a lot of you was the best part.

I would like to say that the Pin Event was way beyond what I expected. The only complaints I heard were from the seller/traders that they could not get all the pins. There were a few things that could have been done different but this being the first time that Disney has used this building since the Millennium Village was here I would say they did a great job. The Pin Team at Epcot worked very hard and Special Events did all they could to make things flow as well as they could. I had to laugh at all the traders though… They would line up an hour before the RSPs were handed out (to see if you got the pins) and then run as fast as they could to the front of the line to pay… Like they were not going to get the pins… It was kind of funny to watch. I could understand if you had to catch a flight or something but most everyone just went back to trading… It must be all the training we have had from all the other pin events… We had from 4pm till 9pm to pick up our pins for the day. That is one thing I really liked. Another thing I did notice that turned out to be a problem was the way they had the registers… The RSPs were on one side in the front and the pin pick up was in the rear on the other side. So the line went across the middle of the building and it made it hard to get in and out of the trading area for the first few days… Then they got a little intersection going and that made it a lot easier. Another perk we got for doing the breakfast package was on Sunday you got to go in to a different line than everyone else to hand in your RSPs. It made the wait very quick. But like every Disney line people still complained. I was in front of one of the bigger seller/traders and all he did was say hurry up… Even though we were in line for less than 10 minutes total.

I had a great Magical Moment happen to me… Sandy and I were sitting in a Restaurant (not going to say which one so no one gets in trouble). While we were ordering our Diner another CM was looking from across the way at my Wife’s Lanyard… She asked about a Pisces pin that was on it. She said she like it. I took it off and gave it to her as she said her sister was a Pisces and loved Cleo… Well about 10 minutes later she came over to the table and said thank you. While she did this she said she had no pins to trade with me and I told her it was a gift… Well she then surprised me with a very cool gift… She took her Service Pin (1 year Steam Boat pin) of her nametag and gave it to me. It was one of the highlights of my trip… It will go in to the frame and never come out…

After 9 great days it will be nice to get home and sleep in our own bed and see Chloe… We miss her and Muffin and Misty a lot. And truth be told… I am ready for some cool weather… It is Hot in Fla in August…

Well as you may have read in Figgys post I was given another CTT yesterday in the Magic Kingdom. This one was given to both my Wife and I for making a person very happy with a pin they thought they would never get. It is such a felling that I cannot even begin to describe.
