Okay you all...based on your answers to my last question about waitlisting...(wanted to change from BWV to VLW but didn't know if I should take partial avail. and waitlist the rest or waitlist whole thing) I called MS today. I've changed from waiting for my entire stay to be avail. thru the waitlist. I have the last 3 nights at VWL now, and the first 3 at BWV!! The first 3, now at BWV, are waitlisted for VWL, day be day. How are the chances of those 3 days coming open? Thanks guys. You have been really helpful.

You never know.....

The dilemma you face is that the first 1 or 2 days open up at VWL and then you have to move - twice.

If it were me, I'd enjoy being able to split the trip between the two resorts @ 3 days each. We have done this and it's almost like starting a second vacation. Moving between two Disney resorts is painless.

That's what I was afraid of, but the MS person, very helpful btw, told me they would work backwards, so to speak. I have Sun, Mon, Tues nights at VWL. Thurs, Fri and Sat at BWV. They will book Sat first then Fri and lastly Thurs. You know, you could be right....3 nights each isn't so bad!! We plan on being at Epcot and MGM mostly for the first 3 days anyway. Looks like I should get back on the phone. Those poor people...have to deal with the likes of me!!

Personally I would waitlist both ways, and see what happens. If I remember right, you have quite a while before your trip, so the chances are really good that the waitlist will work for you if you give it the time it needs. You may pick up the days in the right order. You never know unless you try :)

I did day by day waitlisting last year, and it was scary having my days split for a short time, but it did work out in less than 2 weeks from the time I got on the waitlist for a stay at BCV in the busy month of October. I did not get on the waitlist until the second week of August (2 months out), and it still came together quickly! I even ended up with the coveted 2 queen 2 bedroom! Remember alot of people will hold onto their iffy trips until the last 2 months or so. Just be patient and relax. You have plenty of time and either way you have 2 great places to stay already booked.

That is my advice :) Best of luck on your waitlist!

I don't know about anyone else, but what's making me nervous about the early December waitlist is that my banking deadline (July 31) happens way before the trip. I don't want to bank the points and have to borrow if it comes through. I'd breathe a whole lot easier if I got the reservation before July 31 and can straight up use this year's points.
