Day by Day Reservation

This will be the first time I've had to try and piece together a reservation day by day as it becomes available.

It's not make or break - I have a reservation as a back up, but I'd like to try for another resort.

I have the first 3 nights booked as of today. If the fourth night would come available (and so on), what's the best way to go about this? If I book the one day online as a new reservation, is there a way to call MS to combine them? Is it better to just call them and get them to add it on right away?

My preference would be to keep as much of it all one reservation, but I'll do what I have to I guess. I'd like to lesson the chance of having to switch rooms as much as possible.

Book each day online, when done send MS an email via the contact link on the member website asking them to combine the reservation and add your room requests.

It will take a few days but they will combine and use your original reservation number.

Works exactly like Bill said above. I have done this many times. Also, sometimes DVC just combines the reservations without you even asking. That happened to me last month

Yes, the reservations should automatically combine provided you are booking using the same membership. However, we've used multiple membership numbers in the past to piece together day by day reservations and it was really easy to have them combined when we called in.

Though the above is one way it can work, you may need to do it differently. If you are finding your fourth day gone, I am guessing you got the first three nights at exactly 7 month out. If so you cannot separately book that 4th day on line until 7 month out from that 4th day. Thus, if you see it come open before then, you need to call and add it to the existing reservation and not wait until 7 months out from that 4th day..

So say everything I want is available except a night two in the middle. I can't book the 2nd half until 7 months out from the first day of the latter portion?
