We are staying offsite at a Marriott with our 3 little princess'. The ages are 5, 3 and 8 months. My question is whether or not it makes sense to leave the Disney property mid day to go back and nap at the hotel and then go back to Disney. Or do we just spend the whole day and go back early evening. What works? Thanks!

Depends on your style of touring. It can also depend on the park hours.

We got back yesterday. Stayed at Cypress Pointe. We went back for a break each day. We all needed some time out of the heat. We still had plenty of time each evening because of the later park hours.

Some people like to just stay till they can't go anymore and then stay at their hotel for the rest of the night.

Good luck on your planning and trip.

It really depends on what your children are accustomed to and the weather. If your 3 year old doesn't nap regularly, but can snooze in stroller if necessary, you may not need to leave the parks. I'm assuming your 8-month-old will sleep when she's ready--regardless of where she is!

If you're going during the heat and humidity and your resort isn't too far away, it might be worthwhile to take a mid-day break at least some days. Otherwise you might want to alternate early mornings and later evenings and just take a break in the parks. That way you can have the benefit of an early morning start and still see the evening events.

If you're going during cooler weather, you probably can take breaks in the parks without any issues. Just find a comfortable spot and settle in! :)
