Day before Thanksgiving flyers?????

We are leaving for WDW on Wednesday, November 26. Thankfully, we are taking the red-eye so our flight doesn't leave until 10:30. I'm sure by then, all the parking will be taken.

So, for all you guys leaving on that day?

1. Are you driving your own car?

2. How early do you plan on arriving at the airport?-Many of these flights are sold out and I know they overbook.

3. How are you going to check-in? We usually use sky-caps, but sometimes they are not available at night. I might do online check-in, but I worry about that a little.

That is the busiest travel day of the year. I would suggest online check in. Get to the airport earlier than you normally would. Make sure you have seat assignments on the plane because those without them will get bumped first. If you want to get bumped get there early and volunteer.

We do a Disney cruise every year on that weekend. We typically fly out of Midway, and I arm myself with addresses and internet coupons (if available) for all the non-airport affiliated parking lots I can find (when flying out of O'Hare, I know of a lot that allows reservations because it is all valet and can really crowd the cars in). I am planning to do web check in and still get to the airport a minimum of an hour early to make sure I have time for security...I might aim for 90 mins. to 2 hours ahead, as I'd rather relax and read a book while waiting at the gate than be stressed out in a never-ending security line.
