Day and half in LA area... suggestions?

We will be spending 4 nights at the CG, with 2 of the 3 days at DL/CA.

My questions are suggestions for things to do the day we get to Anaheim and the one day in between our 2 days at DL.

We are leaving San Luis Obispo, maybe 8AM and heading South. What are some suggestions for things to do or places to stop on the way to Anaheim? Any "famous, not to be missed" places to stop for a bite along the way would also be appreciated. This day is a Friday.

Then there is the day in between our Disney days, which would be a Sunday.

We are a family of 5, all adults, and the youngest are 18yo twins.

All suggestions greatly appreciated...

Exposition Park in Los Angeles.

They have a rose garden, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and the California Science Center. The latter has a lot of smaller exhibits like an aquarium section, but their crown jewel is the Space Shuttle Endeavour.
