Your Cast of Characters:
Me, 44 year old mother & grandmother: Planner & financier of this trip who ate PB&J & bologna sandwiches and did rewards programs for ten months saving for the trip.
DD, Jess, 28: Poster child for premenstral syndrome and offical spoiler of trip. Seriously, she gets pms BAD & won't take medicine.
DGD, Skye, 7 turning 8 on 11/15: The most well behaved, sweetest granddaughter any grandmother could ask for. Loves rollercoasters & Pen trading.
Saturday, November 2nd:
It was tense in our room at AKL that morning. I found four bucks and thier passes laying on my side of the nightstand. Skye said she got all but two countries in her passport & on her mask. They (or she) ate at Alfredo's. I asked how Alfredo's was and Jess said..."I don't know, Skye liked it." She was telling me that she didn't eat, but I found it hard to believe that she didn't eat or drink anything all night. I didn't question it though.
I asked Skye where she wanted to go today and she said back to MGM to ride RnR & ToT again. I asked Jess if she would take her. I told her my feet were swollen, which they were, and that I'd stay there and pack up our stuff. She agreed and they were off again. I went back to bed to sleep some more.
The girls woke me when they came back from MGM around eleven o'clock. I can't believe I slept that long..I never do that. Skye said that one of the green army men followed them all the way to ToT. Jess was amazingly talkative and upbeat like nothing ever happened. I think she was hungry.LOL I obviously hadn't packed anything. We went down to Mara and ate lunch...yes, Jess ate too. They went to the pool while I packed our stuff up all except the things we'd need.
When they got back from the pool, Jess said Skye wanted to go back to MK and they wanted me to go to. I'm thinking I don't want to burn a day off my pass for just a few hours but what the heck...one last look at the castle. We went on our merry way like nothing ever happened.
We rode all our favorites again and hit Fantasyland because we hadn't ridden hardly anything there. A nice CM gave us a FP for BTMRR. We went to Toon Town since we hadn't been there at all. We even went to see Mickey while the fireworks were going off, so Skye could thank him for all the fun. I hugged him and cried.
I got to see Spectromagic too...my first time. It was awsome!
We stopped at the candy store on the way out. Jess had a friend of hers, a guy who's a surgical tech too, stay at her house to feed their animals while they were gone. She hadn't gotten him anything and she'd spent all her money and was hinting around for me to get something for him. It ticked me off but I felt he should have something, so I bought him a huge coffee mug and some candy at the candy store. She said she'd pay me back.
It was a good night at MK and I'm glad I went. I'll miss that place.
