Your Cast of Characters:

Me, 44 year old mother & grandmother: Planner & financier of this trip who ate PB&J & bologna sandwiches and did rewards programs for ten months saving for the trip.

DD, Jess, 28: Poster child for premenstral syndrome and offical spoiler of trip. Seriously, she gets pms BAD & won't take medicine.

DGD, Skye, 7 turning 8 on 11/15: The most well behaved, sweetest granddaughter any grandmother could ask for. Loves rollercoasters & Pen trading.

Saturday, November 2nd:

It was tense in our room at AKL that morning. I found four bucks and thier passes laying on my side of the nightstand. Skye said she got all but two countries in her passport & on her mask. They (or she) ate at Alfredo's. I asked how Alfredo's was and Jess said..."I don't know, Skye liked it." She was telling me that she didn't eat, but I found it hard to believe that she didn't eat or drink anything all night. I didn't question it though.

I asked Skye where she wanted to go today and she said back to MGM to ride RnR & ToT again. I asked Jess if she would take her. I told her my feet were swollen, which they were, and that I'd stay there and pack up our stuff. She agreed and they were off again. I went back to bed to sleep some more.

The girls woke me when they came back from MGM around eleven o'clock. I can't believe I slept that long..I never do that. Skye said that one of the green army men followed them all the way to ToT. Jess was amazingly talkative and upbeat like nothing ever happened. I think she was hungry.LOL I obviously hadn't packed anything. We went down to Mara and ate lunch...yes, Jess ate too. They went to the pool while I packed our stuff up all except the things we'd need.

When they got back from the pool, Jess said Skye wanted to go back to MK and they wanted me to go to. I'm thinking I don't want to burn a day off my pass for just a few hours but what the heck...one last look at the castle. We went on our merry way like nothing ever happened.

We rode all our favorites again and hit Fantasyland because we hadn't ridden hardly anything there. A nice CM gave us a FP for BTMRR. We went to Toon Town since we hadn't been there at all. We even went to see Mickey while the fireworks were going off, so Skye could thank him for all the fun. I hugged him and cried. I got to see Spectromagic too...my first time. It was awsome!

We stopped at the candy store on the way out. Jess had a friend of hers, a guy who's a surgical tech too, stay at her house to feed their animals while they were gone. She hadn't gotten him anything and she'd spent all her money and was hinting around for me to get something for him. It ticked me off but I felt he should have something, so I bought him a huge coffee mug and some candy at the candy store. She said she'd pay me back.

It was a good night at MK and I'm glad I went. I'll miss that place.

At least you have a happy memory on your last night!!!

I am so glad that you at least had a better last day! It sounds like it was well worth using up the last day on your pass!!!

I am so happy that you were able to go into the parks for one last evening. I am sure Skye was happy that you were there too! And the big question is... Did she ever pay you back for the gift?

Glad you had a good last day at the MK!

Spectromagic is a great parade!

I hope your DD grows up soon & learns a lesson from Skye on personality!

Thanks for the report!

So glad to read that you had a nice last day!

So glad you enjoyed you last day there. Sounds like all in all you had a great time. What a terrific mom and grandma you are. They are very lucky to have you. I travel to WDW with my mom quite often. I am always so grateful to her for helping with the costs of taking me and my 3 kids to WDW. Some day your dd will realize how lucky she is. I think your dgd already knows! Thanks for sharing you trip.

Glad you were able to enjoy your last few hours...

That's the best way to end a WDW vacation--at the MK. We've ended both of our trips that way.

Well at least your last day sort of made up for the nonsense you had to put up with over the past week or so.

hello

even though you didn't always have the best of times= try to think of it this way; your DGD had a fantastic time and you made this happen for her!! - you must admit you probably enjoyed some parts of your magical vacation!!

please don't let your DD spoil all the good memories that you have of your disney vacation- and even if your DD never realizes how special you are- we all do on the DIS Boards!!

:smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth:
