Day 8 Trash & Towel or Clean????

I thought that day 4 of a stay is trash & towel only and Day 8 is cleaning? Have I got that wrong?

Yes, you have it backwards. Day 4 is full clean, day 8 is T&T.

I was going to say exact opposite, I thought day 4 was trash and towel and day 8 being a full clean. There is no point in a full clean 4 days in. I don't think we have ever had a full clean at 4 days.

On stays of 7 nights or less, day 4 is trash and towel.

On stays of 8 nights or more, day 4 is full clean, Trash & Towel on day 8.

Most stays are 7 days or less so DVC does a T&T on day 4 to save us money.

does the first day you arrive count as day 1 - so that if you go from

sat to sun (9 days / 8 nights) - cleaning will be on tue / trash on sat

or cleaning on wednesday (after 4th night)

Arrival counts as day 1.

Sat - 1
Sun - 2
Mon- 3
Tues - 4 - full cleaning
Wed - 5
Thurs - 6
Fri - 7
Sat - 8 - trash & towel
Sun - depart

You know, I've always thought that day four was Trash and Towel, but on our past two visits (of 7 days or less), we've gotten a full clean on day four. I wish we could get it straight because I do like to leave a tip out -- but I leave more on full clean day and less on T&T. But that's a different post. Anyway, the past two trips (last one just finished), we've gotten a full clean on day four. Go figure.
