Day 7, the voyage home

Day 7 (30 Aug 2003)

This morning we had breakfast in our room, then packed everything up. All of the packing was done by 10, but our van was not scheduled to arrive until 11. So we headed down to the playground for a little bit. Then one final ride on the resort monorail for DDs. We got back to the resort about 10:45 which was just enough time to run everyone through a bathroom break and change DD2’s diaper. Then Marco showed up with our van, and we were off to the airport. After hearing (and witnessing) the horror of security at MCO, I got us to the airport 2 hours early. We zipped through curbside checkin, flew through security, and had lots of time to kill at the terminal. Fortunately it was lunchtime, so that killed part of the time. After about a 30 minute delay (plane late coming in), we took off and had a very uneventful flight home. Our friend picked us up at the airport and by 3:30, we were home and starting the dreaded unpacking and laundry!

I've enjoyed your daily trip reports. We leave in 33 days for a 7 night stay at Movies. DD is now 9, but on last trip she was 5.5 and LOVED Goofy's Barnstormer best of all. I was looking forward to introducing her to BTMRR this trip, but it will be closed, BOO HOO. Melanie

Enoyed your reports...Sounds like you had a great trip. Why is it always so depressing to have to take the dreaded ride back to the airport? I always feel so sad. Thanks for posting.

Thanks so much Jessica, that was a wonderful report, glad you all made it home safely. Boy, don't you wish the damn airlines would lose your luggage on the way home instead of on the way down for once! lol
