Wednesday July 28th
Excited and ready to head to US again I'm up at 7 a.m.
I've called Jess & Wayne to get up, DH & DS are moving slow this morning, but hey I wanna ride the Mummy. I'm willing to skip the most important meal of the day to get there early LOL.
I'll skip all the boring stuff........AGAIN we get to US at 11:30a.m.
I'm trying to be a good sport but I know all the express plus passes are gone......when we get to Guest Services...Yep Im right!
By now I'm having a " not so nice moment" the guy at guest services tells us " you can buy one a day in advance" My DH knows if he wants to live peacefully with me another 17 yrs he had better do it. We buy 3 express plus passes for Thursday. I am happy and content now. (Not really I wanted to do it all again today!!!) Instead we do a little souvenir shopping for an hour and we leave the park.
We decided to drive to Cocoa Beach instead, after going back to the hotel to get our bathing suits and so forth, off we go to the beach, the whole gang is excited and in a much better mood now, what the heck, we're all tired from standing in the lines the past few days, so we need to do something different.
I've heard soo many good things about Cocoa Beach, that it is not crowded and it is a very clean beach, this was from 3 ppl that live in the nearby area that I'm very good friends with.
When we finally arrive there, we find a great public access parking spot, walk on down to the beach, spread beach towels out and head for the water.
Gasp!!
Maybe its just me, or maybe its the fact that I've been to Myrtle Beach, SC and I'm very partial to that place....BUT....this was the nastiest beach I have EVER seen in my life. Cigarette butts decorated the sand from both directions, as we walked along the beach, we seen everything from, corn on the cob, empty cans, bottles, fast food trash bags, to those nice little " trojan" wrappers that should be left in a hotel trash can or better yet just leave em in the floorboard of your car!!
A few hours there and we are all ready to leave, we come back to the hotel, get cleaned up and head to good ole Cracker Barrel for some veggies, too tired of burgers and pizza LOL
Now Im really ready for US tomorrow.....neener neener neener I've got express plus passes!!
