Day 5 Jan 29th
We slept in today until about 8:30ish. We had express check out so we just packed up, put our luggage in the car and took the boat over to Magic Kingdom. As we were pulling up, we saw Chip and Dale on the big TTC boat, this was the first time i'd seen characters on the boat. they were waving frantically at us....too cute.
Park was very quite, we walked over to Space Mountain and let me tell you, this was the first time EVER that I have walked RIGHT onto Space Mountain. There was a car waiting for us and we walked right through and on. I was impressed! I rode the very front car and gotta tell you, it is a completely different ride then any other car...seeing the track straight in front of you!
We got off, went on Buzz Lightyear, kicked hubbys butt again, lol....no line. Walked through Fantasy Lane and walked to Country Bear Jamboree. I hadn't seen this show in many many years so we really truely enjoyed it, very funny. We were hungry so decided to go back to Trails End buffet for lunch. Yup, didn't learn our lesson the first time. On the way out, hubby picked up one of those pooh light chasers that talk for our younger child. I had gotten them a mommy gift of those pull out light up swords for them at Epcot the night before. Anyway, the buffet Lunch is only $8.99 which is funny because it is the same price as a regular meal and drink anywhere else and this is all you care to eat. A little different menu but still lots of choices and SOOOOOoO good.
After we ate, we got on the boat and headed back to WL to our car and headed on home. Uneventful trip home. Our girls were SOOOO happy to see us, but probably happier that they each had a nice bag full of souviners and a big Tinkerbell balloon.
All in all it was a wonderful trip. The weather couldn't have been MORE perfect. Most nights was about 41-45 degrees and the highs were about 65-70...very nice!!!! The crowds were slim to none which made it nice to do a little bit of everything. Will still say that I am a little upset nothing was done for our anniversary, I wore my pin the day before and day of our anniversary, it said Anniversary + kidless + disney = OH HAPPY DAY. Many people read it and laughed but only ONE person actually said Happy Anniversary to us. I guess it's a couple thing, who else should care about it? But I had heard such nice stories in the past that Disney did to make it a couple thing but more special....it was disappointing that ours didn't count so much. Anyway, we aren't heading back to Disney for at least a year, which is saddening but I am so tired right now.....I am thinking it will take me a year to recover!!!!
