Day 5&6 of our WDW/BWV vacation

Day 5 of our WDW/BWV vacation: July6, 2004, This is the only day we spent a FULL DAY at a park – we arrived at Sea World at 10:30am We were to meet Perfect match300(Nancy) and her husband Barry at 11:30am in front of Journey to Atlantis. Since we were early we decide to go on Kraken(a roller coaster) once before we met up with them. WOW that coaster is AWESOME!!! It is a floorless coaster and you travel quite high up then a small ½ circle turn then down – straight DOWN!!!! Many inversions under a tunnel corkscrews – its just a very FUN RIDE!!! After we headed over to JTA and met Nancy and her DH – First let me just say this folks are very friendly and kind! If you have the chance to meet up with them you definitely should! Well being SOO hot we stood in line for JTA for about 40 minutes – It was worth the wait (you get wet!) and it gave everyone a chance to chit chat a bit, Well since we hit the “washer” it was time to hit the dryer(Kraken) – Off we went – DH and DD sat this time out – but Nancy Barry my Dniece and I rode that wild ride one more time! IT IS AWESOME!!! Well we are at Sea World so off to see the Dolphin show – I love to watch the interactions btwn trainer and animal – what trust there must be! When DD now 9 is old enough to do a day w/the dolphins at Dolphin cove we are going to do it! That to me would be so amazing – one of my favorite things to do at Sea World is to feed the Dolphins and Stingrays! Okay needless to say the Dolphin show was great! Well off to Seamore & Clyde take Pirate Island show – what a Funny and lighthearted show! Kids and adults alike will enjoy it! Then to Shamus happy Harbor(Play area of Sea World) to let the kids run around a little and cool off. Again Nancy and Barry such nice folks They didn’t have to come to sit and do nothing at the play area – but they did – it was nice to have that time to talk more and get to know one another a little better. Okay kids time to go to the Penguins exhibit. In this exhibit its COOL! Also you get to see Puffins too – those birds can swim amazingly fast and boy Can they dive! Next the SHARKS! Everyone do the JAWS theme music……………………..okay that’s enough stop! Nancy and Dniece feed the sharks – DD was getting a little over heated so we sat for a bit until we went into the viewing area to get an up close and personal look at these creatures – okay again do the theme from JAWS……………………………….okay stop that’s enough. Well it was getting close to our time to go Dine w/ Shamu(Nancy and Barry were not joining us) so we said our good-byes – VERY NICE PEOPLE! Our Dining w/ Shamu buffet was okay not spectacular (the food) but being so close to the whales – sit on your couch now look across to the other side of your room well that’s how close we were to the whales! We got to see how the trainers form their bond with these animals – feeding, mouth care, body rubs – it was very informative I HIGHLY recommend it! – Oh sadly its time to go BYE WHALES! Time for Shamu Rocks America! This show is rock and roll meets the wild! We sat in the get soaked seats yet sadly we didn’t get wet not one drop! After the show – and what are the chances – we met up w/ Nancy and Barry! Well time for the FW so we found a spot on the banks of the lagoon area and then the FW started (note to self – BUG SPRAY) – Well since none of our group had ever seen this – after it started we realized we were on the wrong side of the Lagoon - OOPS! The show is a little fantasmic(they use water screens to tell part of the story) and on the wrong side you don’t really hear it or see this and the FW are okay – kind of reminded me of WDW leftovers – but I really can’t judge since we were the dunces that sat on the wrong side! Well after the FW we parted ways and headed back to BWV. It was a VERY GOOD DAY – Thanks Nancy and Barry!


Day 6 of our WDW/BWV vacation: Hot in the 90’s rained for a couple of hours btwn about 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Well we all slept to about 11am after we ate breakfast we headed to the Keister Coaster pool! We stayed until 4pm when they cleared the pool because of lightening (less than 6miles away) so back to our villa we went. 10 minutes after we entered the room DOWNPOUR! DH braved the rain and went to get a pizza from Spoodles for the kids. After the kids ate we headed out to MK for E ride night. Every time I walk down Main st I still get goose bumps when I see the castle! Well it has become a ritual – we seem to have a routine – POC, Aladdin, CoP, Timekeeper, Tomorrowland Transportation, Teacups, Flying Dumbos. Then to the front of the castle to view Wishes – this will be the 1st time we have seen Wishes in front of the castle. Okay if you want to see unobstructed large grand FW's view Wishes from Fantasyland – If you want to see the Castle framed in FW – no surrounded by them with the castle changing colors and shapes like hearts being projected onto it (think perfect picture postcard – think AMAZING!) Then do see Wishes from in front of the castle! WE enjoyed E –ride night! As we exited Sp Mtn after our first ride a kid asked how long the wait was I replied about 5 minutes so he got in line we ended up behind him because you need to do Sp Mtn more than once – by the time we got on the ride this kid was part of our group – very polite young man (15y/o) asked if he could hang out w/us because he was alone (his Mom was very tired from being at MGM ALL DAY!) so we of course said sure – DD9 and Dniece 9 liked that they thought he was CUTE! His name was Brad and he was from California – very well spoken his parents should be proud took the time to listen to the girls and VERY WELL BEHAVED! Anyway we went on Buzz and then to Pooh then HM, and then 2 trips on Spl Mtn and 3 trips on BTRM! WOW what a long day, time to head on back to BWV. OOPS prior to seeing Wishes we enjoyed Spectromagic Parade and then ate at Cosmic Rays – VERY ATKINS FRIENDLY – good fixings bar! On the ride back to Bw DD fell asleep (before we even moved) when we arrived at the BW I woke her up and said”Alaina we are here wake up” she looked at me so seriously and said “Very funny Mom we haven’t even left MK yet” It took her a couple of seconds to really realize we WERE AT THE BW – poor thing – she was so tired. Okay one thing about the bus ride back to the BW – they combined it w/ S&D (already combined w/YC/BC) it took an hour to get back! Oh well if that’s the worse that happened to us on vacation then we are going to have a great vacation! Nothing planned early for Thursday – thank goodness because its 3:15am and we are just going to bed!
