Happy Fourth of July. We wake up early and feed everyone a full breakfast buffet, my son has competition at 9 but has to be there by 8:30. I'm so nervous for him. He's competed since he was 5 years old and never come home without winning a medal, I'm worried what's going to happen if he loses. They call up the first competition soon and he goes into holding. Soon they walk in, just seeing his group alone scares me. There are about 30 of them. Todays competition are all 6-7 years old and his group is 6-7, green belt ,40-50 lbs lightweight. Soon competition starts and without the proper guidance from his master he goes to fast and without the power, he does okay but not like he usually does. They only award gold, silver, and bronze. They don't even allow for rest in between and call the sparring catagory right away. My husband go to help him gear up. I'm worried. It's already 10:30 and he needs at least a snack, Dad's not going to remember to fed him back in holding even though I put tons of snacks and candy in his bag. I'm right I ask afterward and he said there was no time I would of made time. Soon they come out again and again in what seems like no time at all he's fighting already. Midway in round one he gets kicked in the groain area, they should've stopped the clock but they didn't, time runs out and he loses, just like that his Jr Olympics experience is over and we are so dissappointed, and feeling robbed. Him he's fine, after the initial sobbing "I lost, I lost, I didn't win a medal" all he could talk about now is what else Disney World
We decide to go back to hotel after competition and go eat and then swim for the the rest of the day. The next day was my 30th birthday, hopefully my husband didn't forget again and we were going to take the the kids the beach for the first time. We didn't want to do Disney on Saturday, heard that was a really busy day. We met a couple from Canada at the pool with two daughters that my four year daughter got attached to. She's the only girl in the family so she gets lonely sometimes so when she finds another girls she gets hooked. Kind of funny, their daughter's name were Meagan and Bailey, my daughter name is Maegan and our dogs name is Bailey. They were a lovely family. we thought we has driven far from Texas they had driven from Canada.
