Tuesday July 27th
We were planning on getting to IOA early, no such luck, seems Jess & Wayne overslept and we got there around 11 a.m. so you know it, no express passes left, we go to the express distribution to at least get a Spiderman pass...just our luck...the ride time for this was between 8:20 to 9:20 p.m. I'm thinking you have got to be kidding me.
So we all walk around to decide which ride we are going to to stand in line for...its hot & humid again..so we opt for Jurrasic Park, wait time was 90 minutes, forget that, Jess & Wayne decide to ride Dueling Dragons since the wait time was only 20 minutes, Myself, DH, & DS decide to wait for them at the Jurrasic splash zone and just observe. While watching DS get splashed many times I'm having a strawberry non-alcoholic margarita, I sit it on the wall and ooops you know it......DH knocks it over and all over my khaki colored shorts it goes......red strawberry slush all over the " butt" of my shorts. Only the ladies can imagine how embaressing this was to me LOL!
Its now later in the afternoon and soooo hot, DS says he is hungry and we head over to Comic Strip Cafe for him to get you guess it......Cheese Pizza. I myself wander aimlessly towards the Soft Serve Waffle Cones, boyy ohh boyy was it good.
Now on to Popeyes Bilge Rat Barge to get cooled down again, ride time was posted at 90 minutes, but was only 50 minutes, this is the best ride as far as a water canyon type ride imo.
Now its beginning to thunder in the distance, Jess & Wayne are having a fit to ride The Hulk, but the wait time is 90 minutes on that, so we decide to walk around a bit.
After an hour of walking around we head to Margaritaville, we had PS. and were quickly seated.
Myself- Volcano Nachos..one word Excellent
DH, DS, & Jess had- Cheeseburger in Paradise-Slightly overrated they said it was ok, but wouldnt order it again
Wayne ordered the crabcakes he was thinking they would come out on a plate but instead the crabcakes came out like a sandwich...anyway he said it was good and would order it again.
Atmosphere was fun, the lady on the stilts was walking around dancing and fixing balloons for the kids but managed to go to every table around us and skipped my DS altogether!! BOO to her!
Jess & Wayne decide to wait it out for the Hulk, now its beginning to thunder & rain so it gets closed down, we get separated from them for awhile and we're not sure If they are still waiting or have went somewhere to get dry. After it clears off a bit, they start Hulk up again and as the passengers went over us, we heard some intense screaming, Jess & Wayne had finally got to ride Hulk. They absolutely loved it! Now its time for us to use the passes for Spiderman, wouldnt you know it, we go straight into the ride, but now the actual wait time is only 20 minutes anyway...ugghh...go figure!!
Next we head to Poisedons Fury...DS...is again having another chicken attack, we're telling him this isnt a ride just a walk thru show, after 10 minutes of persuading him we finally get to do it!!
Really neat show.
Now its getting late and we are so tired, we're heading back to our hotel to get some shut eye so maybe just maybe we can make it to the parks early!
