Cast: You know who we are by now
Jen 23 who loves Disney and her husband Jake 25 who likes Disney but won't commit to DVC.
So we slept in a bit this morning. Definately tired from the night before. It's not like we were out incredibly late, it just seemed like the crowds of people and the heat were affecting us more this year.
Anyway, we started out with a walk to Boatwrights for a very un impressive breakfast. I used to love this place, but not after this trip. After that we went back to the room and headed to the Animal Kingdom. I was very excited to go back to AK. It was one of my favorite parks on the trip we took last year. This year it was still very nice but it was just too crowded to move! Between the people and the heat, we just didn't savor this place like we did last year. We didn't do any of the walking trails...I'm ashamed to say we even missed "it's tough to be a bug" since we had already saw it last year. I really wanted to make my way back to this park a second time this trip but dh really didn't feel the same. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about AK. I think we just hit it at a very bad time. With that said, we did go on the Safari which was great fun. Jake had a great time taking a million pictures of all the animals, we got a really good shot of a zebra. Also, we got to see the flights of wonder show. I really liked that and would highly reccomend it. It's informative and you get to sit down and relax. We finally got to try Dinosaur. I think that this was a little scary, simply because you are in so much darkness that you have no idea what is going to happen. Reflecting on it, though, it's not very scary once you've been on it once and it's a little short. That being said, it was still great fun. We also rode the Primeval Whirl. I really liked that. I'm glad we had a fast pass though, because that did not look like a fun line to wait in. It's a good thing my stomach is strong because we rode about 20 minutes after eating and all that spinning was really kinda violent. I think the only other things we did at AK were ride Kali River Rapids and eat at Flame Tree BBQ (which was delicious as always). Oh, and Jake bought some nice handmade wood chimes in Asia which remind me of Disney every time the wind blows.
After we returned to the hotel to relax a bit, we went back to MGM to try some more rides. It seemed like MGM was really crowded too, more crowed that 4th of July. We really wanted to do "who wants to be a millionaire" but the times just weren't fitting with our schedule. We of course rode ToT again, which is our favorite ride. We were gonna ride RnR but all the fastpasses were gone for the day. We ended up watching one man's dream, which was very interesting and we also did "the great movie ride". After that we were beat and we back at our rooms by about 9:30. We had some late dinner and went to bed.
