It's our 2 year wedding anniversary today! We were at the bus stop at 8:00 sharp for the short ride to Epcot. We ended up waiting 25 minutes for the bus! Grrrr.
We were still there in time for rope drop and made a beeline for Test Track as soon as that puppy hit the ground! We rode it twice in a row (I filmed the second ride). So much fun!! Next, we headed to Body Wars - made us both kind of dizzy, but so much fun to see Elisabeth Shue in her younger years. Next, we hit Cranium Command (so cute!) and DH tested his skills on the bicycles for a virtual short trip through Disneyland.
Across the park we went to our destination, The Land Pavilion. I swear the smell of chocolate is piped in to that building because you can smell it everywhere in there! (The Land brought to you by Nestle') We boarded the boat for Living with the Land, and right up front was a man and his very young son. Since the first scene in the land is a thunderstorm, the Wee One had full view (and could hear) the looming storm. He was extremely frightened and started screaming, "I don't wanna do it!" over and over. It was the desperate cries of a child who might otherwise have been beaten with glass shards, from the way it sounded. The kicker was the the "Dad" made him sit there for a few minutes, and kept assuring the CM that the kid would shut up. The CM, bless him, didn't leave the loading station during all of that, and even obtained a flashlight for the Poor Kid to hold. We all could see that a mere flashlight wasn't going to calm this kid down. Finally, the "Dad" got up with the kid and left the boat. He received multiple dirty looks, but at least he had sense enough to Finally Leave.
After a tumultuous beginning, Living With the Land got underway. Very informative... I just love looking at the wee gators and eels hanging out in their tanks.
From there, we went to The Living Seas and spent nearly an hour watching and filming the sea creatures. There were two divers in one of the tanks, and they mimed some comical things and played Pat-A-Cake with the guests through the glass windows. Dreamily, we went down to Coral Reef for our anniversary lunch. Our server, Sherry, was an angel. She took care of us, recommending dishes, keeping just enough distance for it to be romantic, and just being an all-around wonderful person! We sat right up front, next to the aquarium. Our food was out of this world! I had the Creamy Lobster Soup, DH had the Scallops for an appetizer. For our entree, I had the Grilled Mahi-Mahi, and DH had the Pan-Seared Tuna. Soooooo yummy! For dessert, DH had the Chocolate Wave (met with his approval) and I had the Iron Horse Sparkling Wine Souffle (light, refreshing, satisfying). We both had the Chenin Blanc wine, which went well with all of our dishes. DH also had a port with his dessert.
1 1/2 hours later, we waddled out, having had one of the best meals ever at WDW. Feeling lazy, we rode SSE, then sent a bunch of e-mail postcards in Innoventions, visited the AP lounge for water refills, then decided to head over to the World Showcase.
We took the water taxi this time, though I prefer to walk. We entered China and saw the Circlevision 360 film. I insisted we stay to see the Dragon Acrobats, and I was astounded at these Wee Ones twist and mold their bodies into works of art! Sure made me feel old and fat, though I'm actually neither. I'm glad we got to see their show, though we were sitting in the direct light of the setting sun, so we baked!
After that, we made our way to Test Track (again!) for one more ride. It was already dinner time by the time we disembarked from the ride, so we made tracks to Mexico to eat in the San Angel Inn. We ate there for lunch on our honeymoon, but it was our next-to-last-day and I was sick as a dog with a severe sinus infection, so I don't really remember much about it, but DH swears it was wonderful. So, we want to eat there again for dinner on our anniversary. They fit us in at a "riverfront" table (right next to the kitchen door). We didn't have appetizers, but instead skipped directly to the main course. DH had the Beef Tenderloin with Fried Plantains, I had the Camerones con Fideo. I don't recommend the dish I had.... blecchhh! DH said his was okay, but nothing like what he had on our honeymoon. We were less than pleased with the whole experience, as our waiter "forgot" about us and we ended up waiting 20 minutes for our plates to be removed/our check to be delivered! Oh yeah - a tip for anyone interested -- they don't serve champagne or sparkling wine there, so keep that in mind.
A little perturbed, we left a trail of dust in order to catch a bus to MGM for Fantasmic. We encountered another tediously long wait for this bus, so by the time we got to MGM, my eyeballs were yellow from having to pee so badly (I have a weak bladder, in case you can't tell from my other trip reports). We had just enough time to do a bit of shopping, then headed directly to the Fantasmic Theatre to give it another go (see 1st day report). There was lots of lightening threatening us in the distance, and it sprinkled for about 5 minutes, but by 8:30, the lights dimmed and it was showtime! Yay! I filmed the show, and marvelled once again at what a fabulous show it is! It's a much better show than at Disneyland. Oh yeah, we sat in the same section as we were in Friday night (Scar) and in seats very near to where we were sitting that night. Neat!
Then it was off to the bus for another ride home. By this time, we were used to hearing the sound of frogs gathered at the little pond located behind our bus stop (Jamaica, remember?). Each night, DH noted they were saying a different phrase (Don't rain, It's raining, Goodnight, etc...). I miss those frogs now!
Another day came to a quick end... can we stay longer??

OMG!!!! I forgot all about the Garden Grill Re-hitchin' Ceremony! We did do that! I have the certificate to prove it! We were still so stuffed from lunch, but we forced down some ice cream. Pluto was a witness, we had it videotaped... it was so neat!
Now I am soooo embarrassed because I forgot about it. The funny thing is that DH read this yesterday and didn't mention that I forgot to put that in!
