Day 3 dawned bright and beautiful. This was the day of the all important job interview. Part of the reason we are moving to Central Florida!
Got up and was so nervous I could hardly function. Went to PO-FQ for breakfast (I figured it would help calm me down---yeah, right!) Picked at a croissant and some OJ. Left DH at the food court and drove to the building for my interview. It is beautiful. Went up to the desk and was handed the paperwork to fill out. I was so nervous, I am surprised I could even write! Then we watched a pre employment film... then it was time to hand in the paperwork and wait for the personal interview. Once in the interview I was made to feel very comfortable, and the interview went very well. I will know soon what position I will be taking. I left feeling much more confident.
Meanwhile, DH went to AK where he rode Dinosaur and watched DeVine. I have yet to see DeVine, but it is definitely on my list of things to do when we move!
I did a little shopping, and then went to MK. Boy, was it BUSY! People everywhere and most attractions with no less than a 60 minute wait! I was hungry from not eating much breakfast, so I went in search of food. After trying Pecos Bills (the line was out the door) and El Pirata Y El Perico (it was closed) I walked over to Columbia Harbour House. I must have hit it at the right time, because there were only 2 people in front of me in line. I ordered the salad with chicken, pineapple, pecans, feta cheese over field greens with vinegrette dressing and unsweet tea. It was delicious. I had been told that the seats upstairs overlooking the walkway between Liberty Square and Fantasyland were nice, so I found a small table by the window, and proceeded to people watch while I ate.
After eating, I called DH to see where he was. He was on his way from AK to meet me. I rode the carousel while I was waiting, then met him by Buzz Lightyear. We got FP's for Buzz and spent the interrim riding TTA... no line...lol! We then rode Buzz (I did worse than usual) but had a great time. After, we caught the end of the afternoon parade, and DH was able to get some good shots of some of the floats. We caught the monorail to the Contemporary so DH could get his CNN fix at the Outer Rim Bar. I talked with the bartender, Beeg, who was really nice and very informative. She makes a mean Planter's Punch, too!
After our cocktail hour, we got on the monorail to the Polynesian where we had PS at Kona Cafe. We were seated immediately, and started with a Mai Tai, which was delicious. Both our meals were fantastic, and we had great service. For dessert, I had the Banana Caramel Creme Brulee and the Mocha coffee. They were absolutely delicious!!! I will definitely be returning back to the Kona!
Well, after a long and somewhat stressful day, we headed back to our room. Tomorrow, Busch Gardens, Tampa!!!
