well today we had a gmf breakfast in the park, it was a bitterly cold day and we had our coats, hat and scarves and gloves on, we planned to do the studios today after our early breakfast, and we planned on spending the day in the princess park as libby calls it, but we were having 2nd thoughts about how cold it was, when we were approached by a sales tout for marriet hotel, offering 80euros or 100 euro vouchers to go and spend 90 mins having a tour around and seeing the complex, so we thought hey why not. (another story later).
anyway with the advice from the book and steve we walked to bella notte for our breakfast and we were waiting for them to open the doors, we got a brill seat by the lady and tramp photo, and helped ourselves to breakfast, then oh my the queues from the train arrived and it was mayhem, we were done and dusted by 9.30, so got out and made our way back to the studio's, on the way we saw twiddle dee and dum fooling around, got pics, autographs with them, then we saw stitch, the usual princesses, which we were going to queue for but the bitter cold stopped us, we got to the studio's at 10am, got pics with pluto by the car, saw sully had pics and autographs, i liked the studio's, done the stunt show which was great for us but a bit boring for the kids, then done armageddon which the kids enjoyed, we then warmed up in the playhouse disney studio, but i got irrate with the rudeness of the parents, just pushing and shoving there kids in, with no thought for mine, libby actually got pushed to the ground, after that we done the aladdin ride and we all went on that with emma and it was fun, also queued for the photo shot with the incredibles which was great, then headed for mickey and minnnie;s caravan and got photos with them, we were the only ones there so they made a real fuss of libby dressed as bella.
Had lunch in the studio and watched the follies which was great, then headed out to see if we could catch donald duck, but alas he wasn't there, we then caught the parade which was great fun, the kids enjoyed it and so did me and matt.
now it was very very cold, and thank god we booked into the marriott tour, its only about 5 mins drive away, we got to sit in the warmth, with coffee, cakes, and the kids got to play in the playarea with toys and they were happy, the tour was great and we were there for about 2 hours, but obviously we didn't join as way to expensive for us.
We then went back to the park at around 4pm to catch the lion king, which was great, we didn't bother with tickets,. we just watched from the orbition, after that we went on star tours which the kids enjoyed, matt stayed out with emma, we then went to tea at plaza gardens and that was great, but alas they were the same characters we had seen at cafe mickey, but the kids didn't complain which is what matters.
we then went around discovery world which i wasn't fussy on, but the kids seemed to enjoy it, we didn't bother with space mountain as matt has a neck problem and jake was way to small. after that we headed back to fantasy land, walked straight into the castle and again had to explore it, but it was fun to do in the evening, as we previously done that in the daylight, we walked straight onto snowwhites ride and we all enjoyed that, i think it was emma's highlight as she loves snowwhite and kept on clapping and pointing characters out, we also strolled onto pinnochio's ride which again was brill, we also rode the carasouel at night and we stayed on that for 3 rides. By this time it was nearing 8pm so we walked back down main street, it was magical seeing the park with the twinkley lights, we saw mickey at the train station, so spent about 5 mins there, and it was another highlight for us.
We then battled the crowds for the bus, and it was mayhem, after about 3 buses we got on one, i am sure the buggy hampered us here.
anway the kids collapsed into bed, i sent matt to the bar and he came back with drinks for us both and then we spent a night sound asleep.
