Day 3 (Aug 26, 2003) Epcot

We started out today with the Storybook Princess Breakfast. DD1 is a huge Princess fan so this was definitely for her. We were one of the first ones to check in, so we were seated right by the door that the princesses enter through to come see every one. Which was perfect for us since DD2 has the attention span of a flea. We were actually able to eat and see all of the princesses without being rushed. We got to see Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan and Snow White. After breakfast we headed to Future World into The Land. We rode the ride and saw Food Rocks and Circle of Life practically by ourselves! It was great. DD1 decided that she wanted to ride Spaceship Earth. Unfortunately the lines were a bit long at that point so we U-turned (normal occurrence in New Orleans and WDW) and headed into the World Showcase. We entered at Canada, and wandered until lunchtime and found ourselves in Morocco. We decided to have lunch at the Tangerine Café. DH had a Chicken Schwarma Sandwich which he said was awesome. I had the Chicken wrap which was great. It was served with CousCous salad and lentil salad. The cous cous salad was pretty good (DDs both enjoyed snacking from mom’s plate on that one), but the lentil salad was out of this world! DDs split a pizza meal which came with French Fries. After lunch we headed back to the resort for nap. DD2 fell asleep just as we were walking out of the park. She slept through the monorail ride to TTC, the transfer to the resort monorail at the TTC, the trip back to the Contemporary, and the ride up the elevator to our floor. She woke up 100 yards from our room, and that was the end of her nap! DD1 slept on both monorails, but did not get a good nap! DH ended up taking the girls to the pool for a while and I just relaxed in the room for a while. We then headed back to Epcot for a while and dinner. On our return, we rode Spaceship Earth, then headed into Innoventions for a bit. A quick postcard home, then we wandered into Ice Station Cool. We tried all of the sodas, and DD1 and I liked the watermelon one best. DH didn’t like any of them. After hearing so much about Beverly, I had to try it, but I was cautious. Needless to say, I did not like it, but I am glad I now understand what everyone is talking about. Anyway, on to the World Showcase again and our PS for Teppenyaki. On the way to Japan, we stopped in France for a pre-dinner drink. I love this type of restaurant as well as DDs. DH tolerates it because it makes the rest of us happy! Isn’t that sweet?? We were a little early, so we stepped into the lounge for drinks. Then on to dinner. DH gorged himself on Sushi (3 orders) while DDs and I ordered Teppenyaki. DDs split a Schichi-Go-San of beef while I had the Beef tenderloin. Yum!! As we were leaving, DDs and I were ahead of DH since he wanted to finish his drink. As he was coming down the hall towards us, one of the CMs told him that his beautiful wife and adorable daughters were just ahead of him. After he told me that, I wanted to go back and find her to say thanks! After that we wandered around the WS for a bit, grabbed and aperitif in Italy. We then hopped on the Friendship cruise back to the entrance of the World Showcase. A short (and costly) stop in Mousegears, we headed back to our resort with a Donald (DD2’s favorite) and a Goofy (DD1’s choice; Minnie is fave) in tow for bath and bed. Next up: Magic Kingdom.

Oh I can't wait for Teppanyaki! We love that restaurant and make sure it is on our agenda every trip. We are actually going to do a late lunch this year because we want to see Spectromagic that night (it only runs on Sat nights in Oct).

Thanks for the report, I am really enjoying them!
