Kerri – DD (7)

I still woke through the night, 3:00am, 4:00am, 5:00am. Everyone else woke around 7:00am. Managed to get everyone our of the door for 7:30am. Quick breakfast at the Food Court then off to MGM Studios. We arrived about 20minutes before the park opening at 9:00am. Through the turnstiles and then we were held at a rope barrier heading for the Tower Of Terror and Rock’in Roller Coaster. We headed first to RRC but were told when we entered the queue that Liam was too small to even enter the building. This is a very silly rule as we were quite clear that Liam was too small to ride the coaster we just wanted to queue together then child swap. No, he cannot enter the building was the answer.
This through our plan into disarray. We eventually took off out petted lips and regrouped, Fast Passes were obtained and we then headed for TOT. Even though we told the children that they were not riding TOT, Kerri was continually saying “I’m not riding that!!”. This was to be a repeating message we were to hear for quite and few more days. It was us being paid back for bad parents and scaring her witless on Dinosaur. We child swapped on TOT, both Suzanne and myself thoroughly enjoyed it and we both giggled and laughed through the whole thing. Brilliant. We both missed not sharing the thrill rides together, we think it is great to share a ride with someone. Even so early the children were showing signs the past few days were catching up with them and they were tiring fast. It was now time for us to meet up with a lovely Canadian Family (Charles, Isabelle, Laurence, Maude and Jerome), we had chatted to on the DIS. Lime green ribbons were spotted under the Sourcer’s Hat. We had a short chat, exchanged a few holiday stories and then wished each other a happy holiday. We had decided to scrap our touring plans because the children were not going to last. We went to see Muppet Vision 3d, this got a big thumbs up from everyone. We had lunch at the Backlot Express. While we were eating the heaven opened and that sealed the fait of today, we donned the ponchos and headed for the resort buses.

When we got back to the hotel, we decided to take the Open House Tour of the new DVC Beach Club Villas, the bribery for the children was the play centre. Very relaxed atmosphere and the Beach Club Villas are very nice. Next we headed back to the hotel. The children insisted that they have their pool time, so we had a late dinner at the Food Court and then lights out at 10:30pm. Today was an altogether better day.

Tommorrow – Magic Kingdom or “Where has the dragon gone?”

Glad to hear you had a better day:)

We always have to promise our girls at least 7 times when approaching every ride that we are not going to make them ride it!!

Kerri was continually saying “I’m not riding that!!”.
Poor Bairn !

It struck me, at first, as odd that they wouldn't let poor Liam even walk through the buildin but ,I assume, it's because of the corridor like layout from start to finish and the fear a small child could get trampled should an evacuation panic ensue.
I'd have been well and truly pet lipped meself mind - and V would have had to stay behind! (Not that she's even dared step foot in there in the first place, though)

Sounds like you had a really nice family day, Morven and Suzanne - and still up till 10.30. Yer quite comandoes really, aren't yers!

Glad you enjoyed the day :)

I agree - as DH is NOT a thrill ride type of person, in the past I've passed on quite a few rides as I've thought it not fair to get everyone to wait for me, but hopefully;) this year DD (9.5) is showing promising signs of following in her mother's footsteps with coasters of the non-dangle leg variety (don't do them:rolleyes: ).

Sounds like you all enjoyed your day - looking forward to the next one. Which reminds me, I think I've read your reports in the wrong order cos I've already posted for the latter days:rolleyes: What am I like;)

Thanks for the fab report - luv reading them!!!
