Day 15 - A mixture of parks

Mickey rang us at 7.15 to say ‘good morning’! I wish I’d realised this and used the alarm call from the beginning.

I had a very restless night – couldn’t stop thinking that the holiday was nearly over

A very quick breakfast was eaten in the food-hall – toast for Gabs & me, cereal for the boys.

We parted at the bus stop to go our separate ways.

My Morning with Gabs

We caught the bus to Epcot, arriving at 8.30. Our passes were checked then we had to wait for the 9am rope drop. Meanwhile, the Character Bus arrived, on the other side of the rope, so we all waved at Mickey & Co. Of course as soon as the rope fell everyone followed the CMs to the main rides leaving the characters standing there alone I have to say that seeing Mickey standing alone was quite strange and I was torn for a while – Mickey? Test Track? Test Track won (Enz had the camera!)

We walked straight onto TT then straight onto Mission:Space! We were both apprehensive about this ride and Gabs did feel a bit sickly after, but WOW!!! What a ride!! I really felt as if I’d gone to space I LOVED it

We stopped off at Innoventions so I could e-mail a couple of postcards to work – nothing like rubbing it in

From Epcot we caught the bus to MGM – got FPs for T O T, rode RnR, queued for T O T, rode it then rode it again with the FPs – we were really after this!

As we hadn’t been on the Monorails yet and we had plenty of time before we met the boys, we caught the bus back to Epcot then the monorail to the Transportation Centre. From here we rode the boat to M K – after all we hadn’t been on the bus yet

We met up with the boys at 1.30 in front of Crystal Palace which of course led Gianni to ask if we could eat lunch here. Not thinking we’d get in after the Chef Mickey saga, Enz asked and we were seated after 5 minutes! So much for no more buffets

The Boys’ Morning Together

The boys also had a great morning. Gianni was disappointed though because the reason he wanted to get here early was to see the character arriving on the train. Unfortunately, because it was EE they didn’t appear

They rode the 3 mountains, Haunted Mansion, Goofy’s Barnstormer, Buss Lightyear & saw Philharmagic. In Toon Town they met Donald, Minnie & Ariel. Gianni also got to visit ‘old fashioned’ Mickey in his tent.

After lunch, which was very tasty and included lots of interation with Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore & Tigger, we made our way to Adventureland. It was our intention to do Piracte of the Caribbean and Jungle River Cruise – instead we went into Liki Tiki (which had Gabs & me in hysterics. Enz dozed off lol) – then it was of to Buzz again.

In our way to see Buzz and help him shoot those lasers, we bumped into Chip, Daisy and Donald – well it would have been rude not to stop!

We did the Buzz thing then made our way leisurely back up Main Street taking final photos with the Castle in the background boo hoo

Leaving Epcot & MGM didn’t affect me, but leaving M K brought a lump to my throat, as always.

Back at the resort we bought a few boxes of choccies to take back home to family and work.

Enz & I tackled the packing and the kids wandered off the video the resort, collected pressed pennies and some park maps to take home.

We drove to DTD again tonight. We let the children shop on their own in the Disney Store for about an hour and arranged to meet them outside Team Mickey. We all, on our way to our meeting point, stopped off at Ghiradelli’s for the free chocolate caramel! Enz & I were a few minutes late getting to the meeting point and were in trouble, ooops!

The kids had bought Enz & me a pin each. I think I made Gianni rather paranoid about the pins when I explained the trading of them. He bought a pin for himself at Epcot, held it tightly in his hand and wouldn’t go to the till until he was the only person likely to be there. He then proceeded to put it into his bum-bag very quickly!

We shared sandwiches at the Earl of Sandwich then made our way back to the resort.

We were just about to get out of the car when Gianni realised that he’d lost his wallet! It only had a dollar or so in there together with a few pressed pennies, but it was his fave Juventus wallet. The last time we remembered him having if was sitting on the wall outside Team Mickey.

We drove back to DTD and Enz & Gianni rooted around in the area around the wall. We went into the shop to ask if a wallet had been handed in. CM Daniel got us to follow him to where, we did not know! We followed him out of Team Mickey, through Summer Sands and outside! Where were we going! Aha! Customer Services was just next door. I described the wallet and lo & behold it had been handed in, pressed coins and all!! Did I have one happy boy Since returning home Gianni keeps saying how kind people are in Florida – no-one knocked over sandcastles at the beach and someone handed in his wallet – he now all for moving out there lol

So it was back to the resort, showers and bed, ready for an early start again tomorrow. Unfortunately it’s only for luggage check-in this time

Wow, you certainly crammed a lot in again. It's so sad when you're getting to the end of the holiday.

It is a horrible feeling when you know you are doing things for the last time and start thinking I must do this before we go. We crammed in a lot on the last day to make sure the kids got to do everything they wanted.
