Up at 9am to go to Disney Quest for it opening, I am determined to get online and this will be the third attempt. Bus driver was so slow, I swear I could have walked faster. He went to Typhoon Lagoon first and the kind man stopped at every single bus stop and offered to take people to the marketplace to get the bus to their resorts. We got of at the marketplace and walked, we were 100% certain that we could walk to Pleasure Island quicker than he would drive.
At the entrance to Disney Quest at 11.05am. Opening time is 11.30am. I am so determined to get internet access today that I devise a plan. I start with checking out the people I may have to knock over in my mission. The plan is that when we get to the Internet booths I will run to the right and Tricia to the left and the first person to find a vacant booth will grab it and shout on the another.
At 11.25am the CMs are standing behind the door. Go on, open it Im thinking to myself. Open the doors shouts a little boy. At 11.30am the doors open and I only bump into one person as I go through the door. Through the turnstile and into the elevator and we have blast off!!! Doors open and I panic :eek the other elevator has arrived first and the people are already out :eek I shout RUN to Tricia as I take off. She shouts me back because in my excitement and determanation I am heading in the wrong direction. I do a quick emergency stop, turn around and run off in the right direction, up the stairs, into the café and guess what??? It was EMPTY!!!!!! Chose my booth and in a few minutes I was in the DIS. I was upset that I couldnt read my private messages, does anyone know why you cant do this from Disney Quest? Anyway before I knew it I had been online for 2 hours and 20 minutes. I caught up on things on the DIS and checked out the last week and a half of events on the UK Big Brother web site. OMG Alex wants to leave, he cant, I hope he doesnt. Dim Tim has to go and why oh why is Jade still in the house!!! ( I know BB is finished now but this stuff was in my trip report notes so I have added it). Leave here and go to Disney Quest shop where I buy a Tigger mug. The nice man serving me asks if Im having a nice evening. OMG!!! How long have I been in here was my initial reaction. Panic over, it was only 3.30pm, that is afternoon to me, not evening. Walk through Marketplace and get a frozen cola and then head for the bus stop where we walked straight onto an empty bus. Returned to room, took notes for trip report and then went for a swim while Tricia went to see if we could get tickets for tonights E-night. Safari Steve is working tonight until 10.15pm and we are hoping to meet him.
Left for Magic Kingdom at 7.45pm. Started at Toontown Hall of Fame to meet some characters. Saw Chip, Dale and Minnie Mouse. Laughed at teenage girl who was obviously horrified at being seen with the characters. She sat at the side of the room and Chip and Dale went and sat at the side of her, ruffling her hair and tickling her until she laughed. Went to see Tigger next and he took my hand and we had a dance which was nice.
Went to Haunted Mansion next, read everyones name tags but couldnt find Spooky Stephen (Safari Steve). Whe E-night started I rode Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain with only a 2 minute wait for both. Went over to Tomorrowland and rode the TTA, staying on for a 2nd round as we couldnt be bothered standing up to get off. Went on Buzz twice then went back to Frontierland. Went on Thunder Mountain again and waited 10 minutes, it would have been less but just as I got to the boarding they took a train off the track. Went back to Splash and I got the front seat, but I dint get too wet. Returned to Buzz Lightyear, best score tonight was 130,000. Seems my galactic hero was a fluke. Discovered that if you keep shooting with your laser gun when you go through the space section (bit with no targets) that your score will go up. Mine went up 700 points in that area.
Returned to hotel to find lots of work going on. Workers in the food court and workers digging up the ground at the bus stop. When we got back to the room I phoned for a wake up call at 7.45am and then planned on going to sleep. Didnt turn out that way because I put the TV on and discovered Roseanne was on, I hadnt seen this episode before, Darlene has a baby now and DJ was about 16!!!
Put TV off at 2am. Who needs sleep, we can do that when we get home.
