Here we go DISers! Here is Day one of my live report.
After leaving New Hampshire in the beginnings of a snow storm at a brisk 15 degrees, I arrived with a welcome of palm trees and the weather about 50-60 degrees warmer. I have arrived at the hotel (Royal Plaza) and was upgraded to a tower room! ( The one with a whirlpool tub in the bathroom) :yay::yay:
After settling in, i will now start my first solo disney trip! Sorry its so short but i hear the fish N chips and a pint calling me from England. Epcot here i come!

Pictures to be posted at the end of the night.
Cheers!

Hey Everybody!
I’m about to go on my first DW solo trip Jan 21-28. Let me give you some information about me and my background.

First of all, my name is Mark. I am 21 and I have just recently finished my Bachelors in Culinary Arts at cooking school. I have been working in restaurants since I was 14 and worked all through highschool to put myself through college. This winter has been my first time I have spent more than a couple weeks at home in 3 years (due to school and internships). Being at home is great, but a vacation sounds even better.

Last November, after my last internship, my dad and I visited WDW for 9 days. We were able to take advantage of the last few days of the F+W festival and the beginning of the Christmas time at Disney. When we got back, I found an amazing airfare deal and had to jump on it. I am going back to the World to enjoy the time i have before a new and busy season of working 80 hours a week.
Ever since I bought the tickets, I have been obsessing over it. I have been listening to Disney attraction and background music to pump me up. I joined DISboards to read and share with other Disney lovers. I started a trip countdown and hung up my itinerary on a wall near my bed. Even though I will be going solo I know I will have so much fun.

I will be staying off-site near DTD. I wanted to stay somewhere close, without going over my budget. I hope the transportation will be effiecient and reliable, but i have used the hotel shuttles before. :confused3 . I am going with no ADRs and no definite plans. The only plans I have are to have fun and go at my own pace. Also drinking and eating some delicious food. I plan to make this trip extra special by documenting as much I can, taking so many pictures and videos, especially of the food and drinks, and creating a nice informative piece other DISers, especially solos, can read and hopefully help them with their planning or just good ideas to do on a solo trip of their own. I will have my computer, so I hope to do live reports every night, But we will see.

With only 5 days left, I have packed and I am ready to walk out the door. It’s a whopping 0 degrees out so I am very ready to get this party started. I hope to stick with the trip report so I can share my experiences and hope at least some people would be interested in following along for the ride.

Update!! 3 and a half days left until I plan to be at the airport. I have decided that I will check in my bag instead of carrying on so i can pack some snacks/ quick bites. I figured it would save me some cash to grab a granola bar before heading out for the day. Just to put something in my stomach.

I still plan to do a live trip report with many pictures. I just need to figure out the best way to post those pictures.. Any help with that would be greatly appreciated.

A short and simple update.. I will be uploading a couple photos, just to see how they upload and look on my post.
The first picture is my vacation wall! I have my hotel and flight itineraries, my disney ticket, a countdown and my good luck charm for this vacation, A fortune from take out a week ago. You can see the fortune below this picture.

Have a great time. Me and my sisters had no ADR's last Spring and had no problem getting in any where.
