Cast - Me 30yr old female, My DH 31 and 2 DD's 6 & 1, joining us the first two days is my brother-in-law 34 and his DD 5.
I wake at 7 am and start getting ready. I wake everyone else at 7:30. We finally head out the door at 8:30. We stayed at Super 8 suites. They had donuts and coffee, nothing for the kids. Luckily I had back-up (animal crakers and gummi snacks and juice). So off we head to AK. WE arrive about 9:15am. The girls got a couple of autgraphs (Baloo, Terk) while I traded in old tickets to new. They were from 1993 and yes, they do now include AK in your passes when you trade them to the new medium.
First we head to Safari. There is a 15 minute wait. It was fantastic. We saw a wide range of animals. After we got off we went on the Forest trail next to the safari. We saw a gorilla. We then went and got a fastpass for ITTBAB. My brother-in-law went and got his daughter a hair wrap (30 minutes). We went into Dinoland. My lovely brother-in-law thought he could get his kid 42" onto PW. I said no way but was overruled. We stood in line for 20 minutes and lo and behold we get to the front, they measured and we were turned away. His little girl crying her eyes out. I told my husband "listen to me next time. I'm not going thru that again." We never did either. Ok, into Dinosaur with a 5 minute wait. The guys and girls (6 & 5) went while I stayed with the one-year old. We did the child swap and I was able to take both girls back on again. We headed back to ITTBAB. Scared all three girls with the smoke and sting. We left AK and went to MGM
Stopped at McDonald's for lunch.
MGM - FP for TOT, went to GMR (30 minute wait) back to TOT to ride. Now I was glad my brother-in-law came, it allowed my DH and I to ride this together while he watched all 3 girls. This was a neat ride, I was suprised by the in depth story and ride. I am afraid of heights but really liked this ride. FP for RNRC ran over to Star Tours. On the way back saw lots of characters in the middle. (We found this to be the BEST place for hard to find characters).
Rode RNRC and then was time to leave for Illuminations cruise.
Boardwalk - arrived about 7:15pm Hooked up with 2 other parties from here for the cruise. 8:15 off we went. It was great but I think it was a one time thing.
Stopped at Perkins on the way back to the hotel for a LATE dinner.
Tomorrow MK, CRT and the hotel switch.
