Might it be possible to get nursery reservations during *late* dinner seating onboard?

We have unexpectedly found ourselves scheduled for a cruise in a few weeks with extended family. The youngest child we are bringing is a 1 year old, and I am concerned about her making it though the long dinner seating, especially since we have been assigned the later time. Should we assume it will not be possible to get nursery reserved for that time? Or is it easier given the later seating? We haven't tried to see if we can reserve quite yet because we're not sure what the exact scheduling plans are of the people we're traveling with, and we do want/need to defer to their expectations. What has been your experience with late dinner nursery reservations?
