Davy Crockett?

DS has looooved Davy Crockett since he was 4 years old. Has anyone ever seen him in the parks? I was sure he'd be around Frontierland, but we've gone three times and never seen him (or heard of anyone who has) so I'm thinking he's nowhere to be found. Was he ever a character in the park?

Yes, he appeared in the parks a long time ago.

The last time I heard of him being in the parks was 10 or so years ago when he use to pop up in Frontierland or on the Riverboat (which use to feature meet-and-greets onboard at the time). Here's some pics that I have of him with the Country Bears in the Disney Character Hit Parade. Not sure the year- it's either 1989 or 1990.
