Hi, been lurking on here but not posted before.
We tend to go at least once a year to DLP, always in December or January (so we know how cold it is). Usually we stay in the Sequoia (which we love), but for various reasons this time we're planning on the Davy Crockett in late Jan - the question is just how cold are the cabins, is the heating up to it?

Thanks
Dave

we went in march and it was bitterly cold outside but the cabins were toasty!!,there are wall mounted heaters in each room and we left them on medium all day and wacked them up to full when we got back and they were lovely and warm, very cosy when its freezing outside

Hi landerd and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

We went in the summer but would have no hesitation in staying in DCR in the winter :goodvibes

haven't stayed in Winter but have used the heating in the cabins with no problems.

don't forget to visit Santas reindeers who live at the ranch!

Thanks for the replies - I'll stop worrying now. :)
Sounds like the cabins are plenty warm enough, although we may not use the bbq facility while we're there! Stayed there once before in July - rained for the whole week, ever since we've only gone in winter and always had perfect weather. (I like the cold)
I'm sure I'll be back with more questions (especially after the near disaster last time we took a car - used the Eurostar ever since!)

:confused3 I may be wrong but I thought you had to have your own transport to stay at Davy Crokett?
Like I said though I'm not sure about it :confused3

Yep, very true, definitely need a car to stay there. We will be driving this time, and as the last occasion we drove resulted in a very stressful and panicky return journey (caught the ferry with minutes to spare) I will be back asking more questions about the route when we've arranged the crossing.
