Davis Family Request

Okay Ive read the rules and looked through the DISigner pages and still havent seen anything like Im looking for.

Im looking for a curved banner to go above the door for our cruise. See attached/linked picture.

The Davis Family
(thats it on the banner)
We are sailing the Wonder on Jan 24th Southern Caribbean. Im hoping to make this a stocking stuffer for my wife at Christmas.

Im looking for a curved banner that would go across the top of the door. Again see the attached/linked rough sketch I made.
Theme: Either something similar to what I mocked up where it looks like water breaking on the sand, and in the sand is written "The Davis Family" with either some palm trees or Mickey and Minnie at either end framing.

Or the other thought I had was to do it as a black starry background, with "The Davis Family" using the yellow Star Wars title style font. With the jedi symbol at one end and the Empire symbol at the other.

Or both and we switch during the cruise, if you have that much time.

Do you know the dimensions you want? I know the porthole is 7.5 but I am terrible about judging the size when looking at a photo, also I am not sure how you would get the curve similar without some sizing guidelines.

You have to forgive me Im brand new to the DIS boards and Disney cruising. This cruise will be our first, so I guess I had assumed most other people here had been and might know?
Someone did tell me the doors are 27" in width. So I assume the banner being sized for 24" across should be fine?
And maybe 5-6" in height? Given the porthole is 7.5" in diameter, 5-6" should fit fine?

As for the curve, I will leave that up to the DISisgner. I am horrible at drawing. I assume just a really gentle curve across should be fine. Even if it doesnt match up perfectly, as long as it fits above the porthole at the top of the door it should be fine.

Thanks! I thought it was a great idea as well, which is why Im surprised no one is already doing it.
I'd love to see what you can come up with, if this is something you would like to do.

Sorry that is the only one I have--I used to make DCL Pirate Night banners with it but I no longer do cruise stuff. Please unquote the image.

So, being new to this, I just download them and then take them to a Kinko's or something to print and get them laminated?

Hi, due to copyrights most places will not print them. We create designs for free assuming that they will be DIY projects (do it yourself) which means you will print it on your home computer/printer, laminate it yourself, etc.
Be sure to download each picture from Photobucket, if you right click and save you will not get the full resolution size.
