David's DVC last minute deals

Has anyone ever had success booking with the last minute discount he offers? They released discounts for August yesterday and on a total whim I filled out a reservation form. It was just after business hours (the deal had been posted for awhile) so I could barely sleep last night waiting to hear back. I will be refreshing my email all day today!!

if you do not have luck with him you can also look on the rent trade boards description below and offer a dollar or so less than David's...
what he is selling is Points that expire in a short period of time and you will need to very open to what resort and dates. The owner is renting these points at less than the annual dues for the most part... but it is better than a complete loss...
yes a lot of people on the trade boards will ask 10-12 for limited time expiring but make and offer... You need to be ready to pay and the points will expire should not be able to go and you will loss all... other times (full price points) a member will help you make other plans within limitations of the points expire date or may even offer a partial refund or you could try to re-rent them..
in other words if you want X resort for X amount of days likely you will not get your wish... if you say travel between these dates would like X amount of nights but will do less or more and any resort you will likely get something for a great price.

That's because SSR is a very large resort. It is less likely to be sold out than the smaller resorts (like BWV or BCV). Plus, it is in less demand than the DVC resorts that have convenient access to the parks.

Yes, it was $8 per point which I believe is usually what they offer for their last minute deals. You can see the ad on their FB page (not sure if it is up on the website). If you sign up you will also get an email.

One time there was a VERY last minute deal for $5.00 a point. We missed out on it!
