Davenport?

My dh and I are looking for a vacation home near WDW. I am in the process of limiting our areas that we want to visit. So far, I have Celebration, Windermere and parts of Winter Garden. However, after doing a search, I noticed several people mention Davenport. Can someone tell me what type of area this is? I looked on a realty site and noticed that there are almost triple the listings as there are for Windermere and Winter Garden. Also, the homes there seem to be very competatively priced. Any help would be great!

Also, I know there are areas of Winter Garden that are better than others. How is the area around Stoneybrook? I also noticed that there are properties in Winter Garden that are within a 1/2 mile to 1 mile of Windermere. Is this a good area to look at?

We know we won't know for sure where we want to buy until we are able to come down and see the area firsthand. I'm just trying to get a grasp on the areas we want to focus on. The number of communities in the Orlando area is amazing! Any information is greatly appreciated!

Davenport is a nice area, close to WDW's west side (think AK) for a vacation home it wouldn't be bad at all and about 15-20 min to onsite.
Celebration doesn't allow vacation rentals and prefers full time residents.
I can't really help with the other areas....sorry

Thanks for the reply! I can use all the information I can get. We are looking for a vacation home, but not to rent out when we aren't there.
