I'm so aggrevated! Dave Matthews is coming this summer on tour, and we are big fans here.

So tickets go on sale this morning at 10:00. There are 3 venues we could go to...Merriwether Post Pavillion, Nissan Pavillion or Hershey Park, our preference is in that order.

So I go on to Ticketmaster.com right at 10. I click on Merriweather.. able to get tickets, but since I am not real familiar with the way Ticketmaster works, I don't order fast enough and lose the tickets there, now the only tickets are for lawn seats.

Move on to Nissan... able to get tickets there, DH says ok just do it.... SYSTEM ERROR.... aaaahhhh, try several times and still get system error!!! Then again, now only lawn seats avail *&*%!!!!

Move on to Hershey....ok, finally success!! But then as I look at the confirmation page I printed, I realize that I chose a UPS delivery instead of just regular mail which is free  The concert is not until July, so I spent $14.50 for something I didn't need.

Now $14.50 is not that big a deal I guess.... BUT THE WHOLE PROCESS WAS JUST SO FRUSTRATING.

Sorry this was so long.... just needed to vent!

Blech, I hate ordering tickets online when I am under pressure. I also hate bidding on ebay, that sort of thing - I don't like rushing when it comes to spending my money!

BTW, I've been to many concerts at Merriweather, having grown up near there in Baltimore and living now in D.C. I always have sat on the lawn, I prefer it to a pavillion seat. There is something very magical about listening to your favorite band LIVE while you are sitting on a blanket outside in the open air with the ones you love, just enjoying the tunes . :) The last concert we went to there was James Taylor, - it was a big group of old friends and a cherished memory for me. :)

Have fun at the DMB concert! Sorry about the extra $14.50, but try not to think about it. Enjoy the show!

The concert business has no respect for its customers:(

Something similar happened to me while ordering my No Doubt/Blink 182 tickets...
I registered for the presale, and signed on 20 mins before it started. Went to get tickets and the site wasn't functioning :( I couldn't stay home and try because I had to get to class. By the time I got back I got seat alll the way up in the back of PNC...Not lawn though-I wouldn't take lawn-i've heard bad stories of how people act on PNCs lawn!
Anyways, I realized it might be fun being up in the stands, as I've almost ALWAYS seen both bands at a distance of no more than 100 feet, and I've almost ALWAYS been squished, or surrounded by 14 year olds screaming their heads off that they love Mark and Tom....
I've sat in the back for other shows, the view is great in PNC wherever you sit, but people seem calmer further back!
Sorry about the $14...but you'll have so much fun, you'll completely forget about it :)

OMG, I thought Merriweather Post was long gone. I saw Neil Diamond there 30 some years ago, and another band that I can't think of the name for at least 15 or more years ago. I think both times we were in the pavaillion. I always think the lawn seat people have more fun. I know they do at Wolf Trap Farm Park.

We've been to Merriweather many times before also, both inside the pavillion and on the lawn. But we really want to SEE the band, and I refuse to pay $40+ a piece for lawn tickets.

Anyway, I know we'll have a great time!

Anyone seen a concert at Hershey Park before?

Dave Matthews is so worth it. We've sat on the lawn and in seats at the same venue and had a good time both times. This summer I got lawn seats for one show and reserved seating for the other.

Lawn seats are a lot of fun. It's like a big old party.

P.S. I hate Ticketmaster. I hate how tickets sell out so fast and then the next minute they are on E-Bay.
