Dave Dizney's Aug. 14-22 report

Our oldest kid's room is now cleaner than it's ever been, and I find it ironic that I can't say I'm happy about it. It's way to ...empty.

The recent photo of all of us on Main Street is sitting in front of me in my office. I've found myself staring at it the last few days. The photo was taken just a couple of weeks ago, but it seems so long ago now. Isn't it strange how long it takes to get to go on your Disney trip, and when it's over (after you stop your countdowns and your clothes don't smell like "Florida" anymore) time seems to zip on by? Ah, PDD is still at it's peak.

We've been downloading the photo's off the camera the last couple of days, and it's amazing to me new things I've noticed. The way his little sister is hanging on him -- the unexplained bad mood of his brother on the last day at the Magic Kingdom -- the deep look in his eyes when the camera was turned on him.

I guess the same experience could have happened in Estes Park, or Cedar Point, or at Lake Minnatonka -- but the backdrop of our memories is one of fantasy and fun that worked for our family. Soak it in folks -- spend time together.

That's it from me on this thread. Time to move on.
