My daughter is being proposed to at a surprise DW mini-trip in June. :lovestruc. My soon to be "son" is going to surprise her with the trip change by giving her DW themed gifts the week they are due to leave for what she thinks for their "Panhaddle vacation". She had mentioned at X-mas she would love to have a Mickey Retro Dooney Letter Carrier bag ..does anyone know when DS might have this cheaper/on sale? Thanks to all!!pixiedust:

Disney Store did Dooney sales back in December-ish - 10% off with a Dooney code that was stackable with the DMR code and/or the Disney Visa 10% off code. I have been kind of watching for that again but haven't seen it since winter. Best I can find now is just the Visa discount.

Thank you so much for your help! For the prices, we are now thinking the wristlet. That would do and he can always save up for her birthday to get it if she still wants the Letter Carrier bag. Thanks again!

No problem! Maybe someone else will happen to know of another code...I have kept sort of an eye on it since we are wanting to buy a D&B as well, but I definitely don't check every day. The other thing that I thought of is that if you have a Target credit or debit card you can buy Disney gift cards with your 5% discount and then use those to pay for the bag. You can only use one gift card when ordering online but if you call to order you can apply more than one.

If he waits, she can choose her own bag at the parks. Placement on those bags is very different from one to another, she might like to choose.

I have purchased in park two or three times with a 20% off coupon that printed on a register receipt from a food purchase. I highly recommend this- there are exclusions of the time to shop and also which stores in which park or Downtown Disney. Anyway, I don't think I have replied to a thread in years but really wanted you to know about this possibility as it can save a lot on those pricey bags! Sad thing- I am never buying them for me but for my teenage daughter!

there was a code for 25% off disney parks merchandise this weekend. I'm not sure if it is good on d&b bags though or when it ends. The code is parks25.

This would be the best way to go if they can somehow get a coupon! 20% off plus she would be able to pick the bag that she most prefers. Like a PP said, the layout of the design can REALLY vary on the bags. My sister bought a crossbody at DW and made the cast member bring out every single one they had so she could pick the best one...seriously. And you could still do the Target gift card thing if you have their credit card and pay for the bag with the gift cards.

Are you sure? I read the fine print and I don't think they are excluded this time.

The email I received had this in the fine print:

"Qualifying purchase based on pre-tax, post-discount amount and excludes shipping and handling charges, gift cards, gift wrap and gift boxes, publications, memberships, media, games and accessories, electronics, Disney INFINITY, Disney Theme Park passes, Limited Edition merchandise, Dooney & Bourke, Duffy the Disney Bear Collection, select Monsters University Campus Store merchandise, Monstrous Summer Tee, personalization, and items not in stock."

I also just tried to use the code on a bag, and it said the code was invalid.

They are rarely discounted online anymore, except for Disney Visa cardholders and DVC members. Like someone else mentioned above, you can sometimes find a 20% off coupon on counter service receipts that can be used on property, as well as annual pass discounts.

The retro print is great but placement makes the bag. I have that print in the mini barrel it is great for the parks. They cost to much to not get one that you Love. Dooney doesn't let Disney include them in there sales anymore so discounts are hard to come by.

The sale does exclude the D & B bags as I put one in my cart and put code in and got error message.

I'm cooky for MICKEY!

You can also stack dooney10 with the free shipping code and either the disney visa code or the may code. This takes about 33$ off the price.
Disney visa code:drvcmember
May code:dmrmay
Shipping code:shiptoday
