We will be celebrating my dd 8th birthday in January. Of course we Love Chef Mickeys and Cindy's and are considering them for our dinner or breakfast, but I am looking for other suggestions. I think she might be a little to old for the BBB, and we did it twice already, so besides that, can you all help me with some ideas for a fantastic day?? (As if anywhere in the "world" is not fabulous!!!!!) I will be making my adrs in about 6 weeks, so I am trying to get together a plan. Any suggestions welcome!!!!!

Well, I think this is a unique "grown up young lady" experience that is akin to BBB...the Harmony Barber shop on Mainstreet.

It is a REAL salon with licensed sylists and running water, etc. She can go get a big girl 'make-over' there instead of the BBB.
They have the colored hair gels and pixie dust too...and it's a very special individual attention place.
The cool part...it's $14. Maybe she could pick out a fun shirt or something there in mainstreet as a 'young lady' outfit too.
She will still get the "feel pretty" feeling, but in more of a 'big girl' way.

here is a link about it and it has some pages of pics too.

Thanks! That's a good idea! My lil one will be having her 1st haircut there on this trip!!
Any ideas on where we should eat that day????

Why not make a scavenger hunt for her? We did a self-made scavenger hunt a few years ago and it was the highlight of our trip. You could either have all sorts of clues that lead her from place to place or you could make a list of things she has to gather (a map from each park, the autograph of a CM, etc.), find out (What is Donald's middle name?, What year did each park open?, etc.) and take pictures of (on a ride, with a family you don't know, at a resort, etc.). You could make her a special "I'm 8 Today" shirt to wear during the hunt, along with a birthday button. I'm sure she'd get a lot of attention!

The hunt could end at your chosen restaurant for a nice dinner, or you could do something like Beaches & Cream for a Kitchen Sink (or Ghirardelli for regular sundaes) and do ice cream for dinner. I don't know many 8 year olds who wouldn't love that!
