Daughter of well know Author/Artist and Disney Movie maker dies of brain cancer.

It's a very sad storey. The daughter of William "Bill" Joyce, well know children's author/artist and movie maker, best know for his Disney movie "Up." Bill and his wife Elizabeth and their children live in my town. My wife and his were friends in High School. Their daughter, Mary Katherine 18, was diagnosed a year ago with a terminal brain cancer and died day before yesterday. Aside from the death of such a young and talented girl, one of the saddest things is that her dad Bill is a devout Atheist and refused to let his wife take their children to church. In times like this, my only hope is that something good comes out of such a tragedy.

What a terrible tragedy to lose someone so young to cancer. Despite, their beliefs, I still pray that they will find peace in time.

On a side note, he's also the creator of Rolie Polie Olie, which is a personal favorite of mine. Disney, bring back RPO!!

I just did a search on him and I don't think he worked on Up. He did Meet the Robinsons and some character work on Toy Story and It's a Bugs Life, and Robots, Rolie Polie Olie, etc. But nothing is mentioned about Up.

Anyway, it is tragic about his daughter.
