Daughter getting ears pierced

I have to give my wife credit for a great idea. DD6 wanted to get her ears pierced because most of her classmates have already.

Well DW made sure to go to the mall on a Saturday to get them done. Why on Saturday, the busiest day of the week?

Because there would be 2 technicians there. They could do both ears AT THE SAME TIME. If she were to go on a Tuesday afternoon, there would only be 1 technician there and would have to do one ear then the other. Possibly making it more stressful for DD6.

we did this with dd1 and unfortunately the holes are crooked! Dd2 had one tecnician for the whole thing, her's are beautifully straight and equal!

I was getting a 2nd hole in my ears many years ago. As I was waiting for the tech to get ready, a woman came up and asked for FOUR holes in each ear lobe. And she had never had her ears pierced before. Complete piercing newbie. The tech said she would only two in each ear. I didn't stay to see how it would turn out.

Didn't they used to have some way to do ears at once by one person? It for small children. Some sort of double piercing machine or something? Do they not do that anymore, or was I only imagining this?

I have each ear pierced twice so I can wear my hanging Mickey Mouse head earrings in the lower hole and the stud Mickey Mouse head earrings in the top hole.

I only had mine done in January (at the grand old age of 22). Make sure you keep them clean, turn them regularly and make sure the cleanser goes right into the piercing.

I gave up with the fluid they gave me after 3 months and used antiseptic liquid and warm water, which worked much better for me.
