We have purchased a vacation package (room, tickets, free dining) for 12/17 - 12/31 for four of us. We just found out that my daughter will not be arriving until 12/19. When we check in will they give us the key card for our daughter as well or will she need to check in and get her own card when she arrives?

Thanks!

We had this same thing with our son (although we were not on a package). They gave us his key card; however, once he arrived on the ME and got to the resort, he went to the front desk and told them we were already here, and they gave him a new key so he could meet us over at the park where we were at.

As long as she is not the lead person on the ressie, you can obtain her kttw card.

Also, dining credits are pooled by the room, you can use her credits if she doesn't need them for signature dining.

When she arrives, if she wants to place a credit card on her kttw card, she can go to the front desk and have it added.

You can do either. Take her key with you, or have her pick it up when she arrives.

Your daughter will need to have the same tickets and dining as the rest of you on the package though. The rest of the party can use the dining credits if she can't use them.

Thank you! We are not going to change the package since we have free dining. We figured we didn't pay for her to eat those first two days anyway :cool1: Good point about us using her credits though!

We are there for 14 days and have 10 day park hoppers so she'll still be there long enough to use those. We were thinking of having her meet us at DTD when she gets there and weren't sure if she would have to check in at the hotel first. I'm the "lead" person on the ressie and she will still be on our credit card for room charging - it's her (and her brother's) Christmas gift.

Thanks again for the info!!!

Has something changed? I've always been told that each folio can have only one credit card.

I was told they can do a split if the room is part of a convention block of rooms - but even that was a "depends on the cast member" kind of situation.

Wow, sounds like you are good to go.

Since you have extra TS credits and are meeting at DTD, may I suggest lunch at the Turf Club at SSR. Or Olivia's at OKW. Both are a nice water taxi ride from DTD since you are going to be there for several days.

The new computer system now allows for multiple credit cards.

LOL, we are in the same situation with our DD21 who will be flying in from near her college after the semester is over. I have stressed about this to no end but everyone on this board has been so reassuring!

We have a similar situation in that my dtr and sil won't arrive until later in the day. We have 2 rooms but I am paying for them and requesting connecting rooms. I don't suppose they will let me check in for both rooms will they?

No, the lead person on the reservation has to be there to check-in for the other room.

We have two rooms as well. My neighbors are going and Alex was about to go to Afghanistan. The CM explained that we should use Holly, his wife's name, as the lead person on the reservation. She said that if he wasn't present at check-in (if god forbid something happened), she would not be able to check-in, because the lead person has to be there.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if online check in would be a good idea then:confused3

Whether you do online check -in or not has no bearing. I wish they would call it something else. All you do is indicate a time of arrival and place a credit on your account.

You have notofficially "checked in" when you are standing in front of the CM, with the lead person, and confirmed you are there in person.

So much can happen in ten days.

You have not officially "checked in" when you are standing in front of the CM, with the lead person, and confirmed you are there in person.
