tower club at CR (14th floor) closes for renovations in January. Atrium Club was completed just a few years back so I don't think it'll close. We stayed Tower Club two years ago and the bedroom of our suite was new decor while the hallways were older. IIRC the suite itself (1 BR) wan't bad
That's what I was worried about, looks like it will be closed the entire value season. Boo. I keep rethinking our February trip to either WL or AKL, I am worried that I won't be happy if we aren't on the monorail. We could stay at GF SL CL, but my husband thinks it's a little stuffy and not at all kid friendly.
I think that the WL CL is winning...at least for this week.

We've never tried CL at AKL, but I read nothing but rave reviews about it . We did enjoy our stays at AKL, though, and AKL CL is on our list to try. With that said, we have stayed WL CL and GF SL and out of the two, WL CL would win out for us. GF SL was good as far as food offerings go (they're the same as GF RPC), but the lounge is located in the lobby of the SL building and it was always very busy and chaotic. GF RPC, on the other hand, is amazing . But if the choices were WL CL or GF SL, it would be WL CL without question for us. Good luck deciding .
There is nothing available for our dates in CL. I believe that the floor is being renoed during that time frame. They do have a TPV tower room that I would consider, but my husband really likes the CL lounge.

Did you change to WL yet??? I just got off the phone with CRO....DH wasn't really stoked about staying at POR for our first 2 nights, so I ended up moving our first 5 nights to YC GV (he's been really wanting to stay at an Epcot resort), and then our last 5 nights will still be at Poly CL. I think it will be a good trip!!!

We haven't made the switch just yet. I still have to get my husband 100% on board. You will have to let me know how you like YC! I would like to stay there, but I feel like the Epcot resorts are a little less pre schooler friendly. Maybe we can head there in a few years!

I wouldn't say the YC is not pre schooler friendly as all Disney resorts are great for kids. But with that said, although we haven't stayed at the YC, we have stayed at the BC and with little ones, I would probably go with the BC as the atmosphere seems a little more laid back. My comparisons between them (and this only my opinion), is the YC is along the lines of the GF and the BC is more like the Poly. The BC has a little more hustle and bustle, IMO, and the YC is much quieter, but that could be due to Cape May being right off the BC lobby. The one thing we don't care for about the Epcot resorts is the CS options are very limited and aren't anything like that of the other deluxe resorts. BC has the Marketplace with grab-n-go items, but you won't find things like eggs, bacon, waffles, etc unless you do a TS meal. I will also say that we like the volcano pool at the Poly more than SAB at the YC/BC. SAB is a nice pool, but whenever our two DSs are given the choice, it's always the Poly for the pool and Captain Cooks .
