I had planned on our trip being mid June, have had Homewood Suites booked for months with an awesome rate been telling my boyfriend for even longer to talk to his work, he comes home yesterday and he only has 4 vacation days and says he cant just call in for the 5th that we already have booked....so now our only option is arrive on July 2nd and leave that following Sunday. Homewood suites is 60 more a night for those dates so I will prob be looking to stay at Park Vue again even flights are a little more. So how bad is the parks gonna be that week? Is there anything special that goes on for the 4th?

Well...knowing how bad it will be ....you will be pleasantly surprised. Previous reports of the 4th, standing by itself separate from the weekended and attached to the weekend have all reported that from 2:00 to close the park has been crowded. Why, well folks coming in for the fireworks, special Main street events and the day off of Monday. So touring the parks early, leaving at 2-6 to rest, swim, hydrated, and fuel up, the weekend should be manageable . The week after will settle in to a normal summer week. July 4th has changed as a holiday, more communities have special events to draw in families. So it is not as common to sit a home and ponder what to do on the fourth. The additional positives to a great 4th, are folks not visiting because of the ROA closures, saving money for the new Star Wars land, that 2015 was summer crowded ( not understanding the draw of the 60rh)....and threads like this that say it will be crowded.
