Thanks for posting. I signed up for the emails but did not get one.

Does it say if the rates are cancellable? Or are the non-cancellable (without paying 1 night) like the Retro rates were?

Here is more info regarding policies, etc:
Notes and Restrictions:

*There is a 2 room limit per family
*Rooms booked at the SUPER Family Rate have a 30-day cancellation restriction. This means you must cancel before 30-days of your arrival date to avoid paying a one-night's room and tax cancellation penalty.
*Rooms booked for "Last Minute" arrivals are NON CANCELABLE! This means if you book a room within 30-days of the arrival date, there will be a one-night's room and tax cancellation penalty.
*Limited amount of rooms open on each day
*First come, first served
*Not available on suites
*Once the rooms are sold, the SUPER Family Rate will close for that date
*Rates are only announced via email to those on our email list

You may want to follow up with HJ via e-mail and find out if your e-mail made it to the list.

Oh well, that makes it useless to me. The big attraction of HoJo for us (and many on this board I think) is the Family Suites. I have a reservation held there already during those dates but at $189/night I'm pretty sure I'm going to cancel. Its too bad they added that restriction.

I didn't get an email either even though I signed up for them.... :confused3

I did get the confirmation from Hojo saying that I was signed up. Weird.

Oh well, if I wanted the rate I would call and ask about the email. But if its not going to work for a Family Suite then I'm not going to bother. I'm 95% decided on splurging to stay at DLH and taking advantage of EE. (In other words, Disney's marketing worked on me, Hojo's didn't)

These are the AP rates at Hojo, only 30% off now.

September 2012: 3, 4, 5, 17, 18, 19, 29,

I have to agree...they are not looking too good.

If you ever have any seniors traveling with you, you can get 30% at all DLH's...just ask for the senior rate...

I totally agree. I have the Family Suite booked for Thanksgiving and was hoping for the discount. I saw the post earlier and called HOJO right away. I did not see the no discounts on the Falmily Suite so I thought she was joking when she said it wasn't available on suites. She was being serious  I will be staying at DLH for Thanksgiving now !

Thanks for posting Matt. When I originally got the AP dates via e-mail, I thought they were the same. After you posted I noticed the AP rate has more dates...too bad it doesn't offer the same discount it once did.
I am going to add AP to the title...

Those rooms sell out faster than any other except the King & Queen suites which they only have one of each. For our July dates they were sold out 10 month in advance. They have no need to offer a discount on those rooms and I always wondered why they included them in the retro rates. Now at $189/night, it's a bit steep but you do get essentially two complete rooms for that price.

On a separate note, some have bemoaned the lack of a $59 rate. Last week the old posted retro rates only had a few dates in October if I recall correctly. These new email rates cover many more dates and for me I'd gladly take more dates with less of a discount. Flexibility is important. We've only stayed with the standard 15% discount so the chance to get a better rate during summer is very attractive to my family.

Exactly. There are only 14 kid suites on property. They are very popular. So why offer such a cheap rate? We have been fortunate enough to get the $99 and then the $129 per night rate on the suites in the past, but I have also booked for as much as $175 per night and felt that was not unreasonable for essentially two rooms with a door that closes in between and two bathrooms.

I agree fully with your sentiments.

While I agree the kids suites are popular, I am going in the low season. I booked 3-4 months out and there were many available. In fact, I believe there was still availability just last month for my dates in early Sept.

I have been checking the retro rates page daily since I booked hoping to get the lower rate. I'm just not willing to pay that price to stay at a Hojo, if I am spending nearly $200/night I want a nice hotel, not a motel. There are other places with kids suites closer for the same price, or the same distance away but cheaper and they also had availability within 3 months out. So I won't be staying at Hojo, its just not worth it to me compared to the other options.

I get that they have the right to change their promotions and I don't hold that against them. But I think for a lot of people its the great discounts that push them to stay there, slightly further away. And it is a bit frustrating that after all that daily checking my dates finally came up but they no longer apply to me. So for anyone looking for kid suites the first week of Sept. I'll be releasing a bunch of reservations sometime next week. ;-)

Would anyone be willing to forward a copy of the email to me? I called and got the dates I needed, but I haven't gotten the email yet, since I just signed up. The person I talked to said I would need a copy of the email at check in.

Any guesses why the first week in Dec. isn't included? Are there higher than usual crowds expected that week? Also surprised to see all the way up to Dec. 24th included. We have a kids suite for that first week in Dec.- I'm guessing they don't need to fill the rooms that week, but just curious why that might be. :)

Could someone send me one too? tinab 1005 at gmail.com.

Thanks! I signed up for the e-mails but never got one. I'm taking my three year old son on his first trip! so excited.

I am worried. I booked the entertainment rate months ago for the family suite for the end of October. Will I have to pay more now?
