In our family, it is my husband who can't stand the scares. He went one year only and has no desire to go back. DS goes with me but this may be the last year for awhile since he will be off to college by 2010. I might have to scare DH to join me or hope for a DIS meet. While I can handle being scared, it doesn't mean that I don't scream or need to hold someone's hand as I walk thorugh the houses and scare zones!!!
lol! I went to a haunted house with him one time. It was really dark so we were supposed to hold hands with the person in front of and us and the person behind us (I think maybe you do this in every haunted house? I'm not sure) Anyway, I was so focused on looking for people that were going to jump out and scare me that if there was ever a step down I totally tripped. Finally, the guy in front of me just started warning me every time there was a tiny step.
