I can hardly believe it, DH and I are getting a date night tonight. I can't tell you how long it has been (months and months) since we were able to go out together. Our local rec center offers mom and dad's night out the first friday of every month!! So for 2-1/2 hours DH and I can finally go out and see a movie!!! :bounce::bounce::bounce: What a great program, especially for those of us new to the community who don't know any babysitters!!!

That is sooo wonderful. I love going out on dates!! Enjoy your night.

That's an awesome program they offer! How nice for you to get out of the house just the two of you!

Have fun (and remember, don't give it up the first date)!

I love having date nights! We got one last Friday when the girl I am tutoring for English 4 offered to keep my kids for us. I know her well and trust her, so how could I say no? Enjoy yourselves, and try to talk about something other than the kids for at least a little while!;)

I gave up my date nights with DH when I went back to work on Friday nights. DD has definitely benefitted from my new schedule! When she started school last year, Daddy started to pick her up from school & they have a date night of their own! She really enjoys that extra time alone with him & I don't feel guilty about not being home with her after school!

It was especially welcome after my recent surgery.

We ate a meal w/o sippy cups, extra napkins, no high chairs, no need to take the sharp knives away and no wipes to clean up all the mess.

Actually strolled through Sears looking at their Lands Ends Clothing.

We then went to Cold Stone Creamery for some of the best ice cream I have EVER had.

What a wonderful night!

That is great, hope you have a super time!

My DH and I are having one tomorrow night. We are going to my favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot:D

Thanks, we did have a good time. Only bad thing is the movie ran over and I had to leave to get DS during the last 5 minutes of the movie. I let DH stay and he gave me the details of what I missed. (We saw Collateral) It was nice to get out, but felt rushed to get back by the rec centers 9pm closing time, I think next time we will have to skip the movie and do something else. And in the meantime I need to find a babysitter that will come to the house! But I am grateful for some time out with DH.
