Has anyone seen "Date Night" with Tina Fey and Steve Carell? DD13 wants to see it with a friend tomorrow and I am hesitant. It is rated PG13 but I checked out one review site and they rate it "iffy for 14-15yr olds". Don't want to be the overprotective "square" parent and not allow her to see it. ;) Anyone with info or opinions?

I'm waiting for comments too because I am dying to see this movie!! Love those two!! :lmao:

I saw it, it was very funny. I didn't think it was objectionable at all. Oh, wait, maybe. There was a whole portion of it that takes place in a strip club, with stripper type clothes and a pole dance, etc. There are also references to drugs and alcahol.

Personally, I would think it would be fine but I can see why some parents would be unnerved by that.

Well, even if it is not rated 'R' and does not have totally inappropriate material, I would have to really double-think a 13 year old seeing a movie about two 40-something parents on a Date Night...

I am not calling it inappropriate, but... what is the draw for a 13 year old kid?????

PS: I think I might really enjoy seeing this movie!!! DH and I need a 'Date Night'!

My 13 year old daughter came with me to the movie and there were a couple of times I though CRAP but one went over her head and the other well I guess she knows more than I thought.

Loved it... it was hilarious.. we laughed almost the whole time. Whether it's appropriate or not, I have no idea.

The stars of the money are the draw, and the movie is funny. Fey and Carrell are hilarious.

I loved it. Thought it was very funny. My 13yoa DD asked if she could see it and I'm ok with that. I think at 13 they are exposed to a lot more than we want to realize. :)
