Our family will be travelling with another family in November and are going to trade off one evening of babysitting so the other couple can have dinner out together. Where would you recommend eating? DH is a steak and potatoes kind of guy, I however am not a fan of most red meat, but enjoy seafood and chicken. I've read the menu at Le Cellier and (gasp..I know) it doesn't really seem that appealing to me.

Where would you recommend so that we can each have a little taste of heaven?

Thanks in advance!

I know it's pricey, but for a special date night, I would recommend trying to get reservations at California Grill. It has a great variety of food and AWESOME views. If you were to try there I would suggest reserving now, as it fills up pretty fast.

California Grill is VERY romantic and has a great variety on their menu. Great view of fireworks in MK too.

Narcoosee's has amazing seafood and chicken and beef dishes and they are not quite as complex and fance as the ones at Cali Grill. It too has a great view of fireworks.

At both places, they dim the lights and pipe in the music during MK fireworks. We loved spending our anniversary at Cali Grill. Both are amazing!

Have fun!

but have you thought of making the date night into a night at the park and not about the dinner? Not sure if that is something you'd be interested in, but DH and I like to take a night and do rides and things that we can't do with the kids. Or even just walk around Epcot together and get snacks/drinks. If you can build a dinner into that great, but IMO, you probably have restaurants that are nicer for less money near to where you live--that's why we plan the date night on the park and not so much on the food.

That being said, Brown Derby at HS is really good and you could spend the evening doing rides and then go to the Boardwalk afterwards. At Epcot (our favorite night time park) you might enjoy Coral Reef, Chefs de France, or Restaurant Marakesh--or even just snack your way around!

Have fun!

I have to agree with those recommending the California Grill. It has a wonderful romantic atmosphere, the view can't be beat, and if you go late enough, you can watch Wishes from the restaurant.

They also have excellent selections on the menu, whether it be steak or seafood!

Have a safe and magical trip! Enjoy your date night!!

We're on the DDP and from what I have read it is 2 TS credits...definitely well worth it for a night out though :D

Thank you for the suggestion of Narcoosee's! I just checked out their menu and yum! That would be lovely to be able to sit and watch the fireworks with dinner.

That is a great suggestion. I was envisioning a few bus trips to just dinner and back, but to be able to take time, walk around and enjoy the park without having to constantly worry where the kids are would be wonderful. Neither DH or I are really ride people...we will go on them with the kids, but don't have a yearning to go on any of the scary ones.

Room service.

:rolleyes1

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: nice

I really appreciate all of your suggestions! I will have DH check out the menus at both and we will pick where we want to go. You have all been such a great help!

I've always wanted to try Chefs de France. It seems like it would be romantic to me. :lovestruc Then you could walk around World Showcase. :cloud9: It would only be 1 TS each, and these dishes sound so yummy:

-Filet de boeuf grille, sauce au poivre noir Gratin Dauphinois et haricots verts - Grilled tenderloin of beef with a black pepper sauce original potato gratin of Savoy and green beans $34.95

-Brochette de fruits de mer aux herbes - sauteed scallops, mahi mahi, and black tiger shrimp served with Mediterranean herb coulis, grilled tomato and black pearl rice $30.95

-Filet de Saumon, ratatouille sauce Choron - Broiled salmon, tomato Bearnaise, ratatouille made with onions, zucchini, eggplant and bell peppers $27.95
