DH and I are planning one dinner without kids. We have a friend going with us and she will watch them. It may be an anniversary celebration of sorts (although a few weeks early). I'd love to hear your restaurant recommendations--a can't miss for grown ups.

My husband loves Le Cellier. I personally loved Yachtsman Steakhouse. Other upscale restaurants are Shulers or Victoria & Albert. I'm sure there's more like restaurants in World Showcase but not knowing what type of food you like or are interested in, and whether you want a park or non-park meal, its hard to say.

Soooo many options!

If you are looking for Over the Top: Victoria and Alberts

Yummy and not crazy expensive like V&A: Yachtsman, Flying Fish, California Grill, Narcoose's (catch the MK fireworks at the last two)

Fun night out after dinner: Jellyrolls Piano Bar

We have done several date nights at Disney.

Our favorites are Artist Point, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Flying Fish.

All have great food and a nice, more grownup atmosphere. :)

I'll try any type of food once. And park or non-park is not an issue. If it's a park restaurant we choose, we will just do our day at that park.

That piano bar sounds fun. I'll look into that!

Narcoosees! 100% the best food I have had on property. Otherwise if you can swing it, Victoria and Alberts.

A slight step down from Victoria & Alberts, but still a higher end experience would be the Chef's Tasting at Flying Fish. We recently did it a little over a month ago and it was an absolutely wonderful experience, so I'd highly recommend it.

Ultimate - Victoria and Albert's Chef's Table. Hard ADR to get and pricey but probably the best meal you can get at Disney.
Next - Victoria and Albert's. Not as hard to get but still hard and not quite as pricey. Great food and impeccable service.
Next - California Grill or Narcoosee's. Good food and service and you can watch Wishes from either place if you time your ADR right. Hard ADR for times around Wishes. Cali Grill will let you back in with your receipt to watch from the observation deck.
Next - Artist Point. Good food and great atmosphere. Fairly easy to get an ADR for.
There are some good choices in the World Showcase at EPCOT.
JMHO.
These are the ones that we have done so I can't voice any opinion about any others although I have seen good reports on Flying Fish, Shula's, Bluezoo, Yachtsman, and the AKL restaurants.
Cheers!!!!!

We actually honeymooned in Orlando 15 years ago. I thought we did not go to Disney, but the more I read, the more I realize we did. We went to MGM studios, which I believe is now Hollywood Studios. I had this vague memory of a restaurant we ate at there, lo and behold it is the Hollywood Brown Derby. I remembered the black and white framed drawings on the wall and recognized them from a photo on the Disney website. So I think I am going to try to get in there for nostalgia's sake. And then possibly hit up that piano bar. I am a pianist myself and love to hear others perform.

For our date night last year we ate at Yachtsman. Our meal and service was great there. After dinner it's nice to walk around the boardwalk area. This year we are trying Jiko because we've heard a lot of wonderful things about it.

if you don't feel like spending an arm and a leg check out trader SAMs or the brewery by the boardwalk. I eat enough in Disney so I like to imbibe in a few adult beverages on date night.

Just wondering why no one is mentioning Monsieur Paul's. I just found out about this restaurant on these boards and was thinking of canceling Le Chefs de France for Monsieur Paul's but now wondering if I should do that since no one here is mentioning it.
